Have been using the app now for a few days and must say that I find very few reason to use any other Hue app by now. Basically it has all. I can access my rooms, lights, controls, change base settings and the color picker is great. The easy access to scenes (and love the white ambiance buttons) is also good. But … was trying to change one of my dimmers (use one of the scenes under the on button) and noticed that We Hue doesn’t allow me to change those settings with my dimmer. So an absolute 5 star if We Hue can make sure all settings can be controlled. For now 4, because I do like it !!

You have our commitment that we will continue to work on incremental functionality. In fact what you ask for is on our short term roadmap and should be released in one of the next We Hue releases.

I have been a Philips Hue fan from day 1. Didn’t make a count lately but probably have over 40 lights at the moment. What I also have is that beautiful Beyond desktop lamp. Same artwork is used in the app icon. Beyond has two light sources in it. Many apps show this as two separate bulbs. But thats not the way you control it. It is just one desktop fixture. We Hue seems to deal with this as one fixture still allowing to change the individual color of the top and bottom light source. Honestly there is more small good stuff. Other than easy navigation some of the quick links a very handy. I am thrilled about the simple 3D Touch options (more choices would even be better) and other simple things (especially handy when you have as many lights as I have) that you can quickly collapse and expand lists. Bravo especially for a first version.

Basically the app allows you to add multiple bridges. When added, and operating the app you wouldn’t even know multiple bridges are working in the background. Nice. I have 4 bridges myself. Yeah I know. It’s a bit nutty but I have been an addict ever since the day Philips brought Hue to market. Basically I use the bridges to split my home in sections like the basement, downstairs floor, everything outside around the home and upstairs. With most apps it’s impossible to manage a setup like that. With this app it exactly works as it should. Even better would be if I can create my own master groups. Maybe a next version?

For most apps with professionally designed scenes you have to pay some serious money. With this app the scenes just come as one of the many features. No back and forth in the app where the most used scenes just show up in the main interface. Simple but very effective. Cannot wait for more scenes to be added. Maybe you can even add the possibility to create them yourselves on the fly? If so, then next time 5 stars from me.

This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon. Routines & Timers We have overhauled the Routines and Timers functionality. You now have a versatile selection at your fingertips to choose from. Ranging from Quick Timers for when you want to be triggered, to more advanced scheduling options like Wake Up allowing your bedroom to be lit with your Hue Lights gradually fading-in giving a good start to any day Power Button Moved The Power Button got moved. Equally Powerful as before, the power button got integrated into the top navigation bar. 3D Force Touch the power button and a menu will be opened allowing the access to some quick lighting and scene settings We added a Menu An easy to access Menu is added which you can access by tapping the menu button to the left of the top navigation bar. In this menu we have combined the access to the Philips Hue Bridges, Lights and other resources, and more. Try it out In addition, we noticed some issues logging on to the app in specific cases.
