Brilliant game, might want to bring a bit of realism in.
Okay, so, I love this game, its a break from the free simulators and beta-ish tech demos currently available, but its not insane. I feel that there are a few ways you could improve.
I find it odd that the rudder functions on the ground and turns it without any movement. I've seen simulators like this, where instead of using a simple equation (forward velocity * turn Speed * rudder angle) give or take a few values, and instead add whatever general rudder turning that it would have at maximum speed no matter what speed it's at.
its odd that something paid, made by Atypical, and designed with a "simulator" mode (which, I might add, I was using when I noticed this), would have this glaring issue.
I hope this is either patched or at least changed in simulator mode.
It’s amazing but is missing some crucial things
Don't get me wrong, this is a great, great game. Amazing graphics and plane selection. However, there are a few things I’d like to highlight. Firstly, there’s the problem of the campaign. I was honestly really disappointed with the campaign. If you loved it, that’s fine, but hear me out. You can’t call it a campaign just because they have the same characters. They were more like separate standalone missions. I wish it had a more flushed out story with more than ten missions. The next thing is the combat. When you fire your guns over the crosshairs, they auto lock so all you have to do is point your plane’s nose in the general direction. I wish it was more like War Wings where you actually had to line it up and aim as you fired. Lastly is plane control. When you slow down, you slow down very quickly. Depending on what your doing, it should have different levels of deceleration. Then there’s the maneuvers. The maneuvers could use a lot of work. They are very precise and don’t have that natural feel of the plane committing to and coming out of the maneuver. It’s like it’s on a rail so it doesn’t actually look right or natural when you do them. Again, I wish it was more like War Wings with the natural movements of the plane in the maneuvers. These are the reasons the game only gets three stars in my opinion. If you guys could fix this that would be incredible.
Apple Design award winners for a reason
I’ve had the honor and privilege to meet the guys from Atypical in SF a few times and they have won the apple design award for a reason. The talent and dedication to their games is inspiring. The negative reviews seem to be from players who simply are not good enough and feel like taking revenge or of a younger generation who feel that for the price of a cup of coffee you should still receive a lifetime warranty of updates. I myself feel that if you can make a game of art this stunning for less than 5 dollars it is a steal since the developers do have families to feed and I get hours and hours of pleasure. If you are at all interested in ww2 airplanes or in flying sims just get this game and enjoy the amazing graphics. Forget about the nonsensical teenage angst haters that have some growing up to do and join me and many others in an online game. I’d give it 10 stars if I could ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
