GCT is a support app for Gloomhaven With the GCT, it is possible to keep track of the game progress in the board game. This is particularly useful when you want to play several campaigns in parallel or just manage your own character. GCT supports The Forgotten Circle. GCT supports Jaws of the Lion. Good but one big problem for me -UPDATE- It’s been fixed

-UPDATE- Wonderful customer service! I reached out to them after they asked me to send them an email and they immediately responded and worked with me to fix the issue and they have! Have updated to review to 5 stars. Great team and great app now without the crashing (: This is a very handy and useful app that I have just started recently using during our campaign. However, there is one bug that is consistent and quite annoying. Anytime I add a Global Achievement or a new location to the map, the app crashes entirely. I reopen it and the sticker has indeed been added but it crashes every single time without fail and when added all the locations unlocked since we started the campaign was a pain with it closing each time. Really needs addressed.

Great app with lots of features. Some I find especially useful, and some not, but others might. For one, I love the player sheet tracking between scenarios. It’s nice not having to keep a sheet of paper with 100 numbers scratched out. It is very easy to select perks, track gold/exp, and keep notes. One thing that is not currently working on the character sheet for me is when I try to add a purchased equipment item onto my character, it closes the keyboard and cancels that entry. However, this doesn’t seem to happen for another member of my party with the same app. The scenario tracker is fantastic too. It is a zoomable map with full ability to track what scenarios are open. The legacy tracking is really good too. The monster health and stat tracker doesn’t help us much as we like to put the counters on ourself. It feels more like a board game with that aspect and we can all see which monsters have what HP left and which monsters we should attack. This feature might be better when playing solo or with only two people in the party. All around, I really like the app and it is a great supplement to the game. Thanks to the developer - an obvious veteran to the game, if not a member of the development team.

Strong edition to a campaign

It also has a small bug while changing flags or adding scenarios to your campaign. Also the auto save feature doesn’t trigger for all changes.Finnally... there are some global achievements which are not reflected in the app.These problem are easily tracked on your own. So overall 4 and 3/4 stars.UPDATE: The creator is responsive about these reviews. While I’ve seen no changes, it does take a while to squash out bugs - if they even exist.One more note.... please put all the achievements in one menu. Separate them in the menu. It took me forever to find the global achievements.Oh and the party report screen doesn’t seem to record number of achievements. They are still zero for me.

I decided to use this to finish out JOTL as I heard using app companions for Gloomhaven makes them much quicker to play. I like how much info you can enter about your party, characters, unlocked items, city events, but the one thing I absolutely need to work in this app--the combat--seems to be completely broken. I added the necessary enemies and all, but drawing monster ability cards gives me empty squares. Doesn't make much sense. That's where all the fiddliness is at in this game, so it really needs to work or there's no reason to use the app. Also, there's no way to subscribe to get more features. I tap to attempt to do so and it just spins. I end up having to reboot the app. Unfortunately, in its current state, this app is almost useless except to keep track of the things that would normally be written on paper.
