Lost Hours in Pay

The company I work for uses foundation to log and track their employees hours. As a superintendent it is my responsibility submit time for the guys under me. The submitted time then goes to the project manager for approval. There have been several occasions where my submitted time is correct (I take screen shots for proof) and the project manager approves the time only to be shorted come payday. When I double check the submitted time folder and filter the information, only a portion of submitted time went through. On one occasion it completely missed an entire week of submitted time for 12 of my guys.

I’m an employee not and employer, so I can’t speak for the employer side of this app. However, I work between four different buildings throughout any given day and the ability to clock out without having to walk all the way to the first building is very convenient for me. Also the ability to switch from job to job is very nice. I also really enjoy being able to see the hours I’ve worked, but it isn’t broken down into days of the week it’s only broken into specific jobs. Navigating the app can be a bit confusing, especially for older people who aren’t very tech savvy. I’ve seen the frustrations in people at my work largely because the iPhone app is much more involved and confusing than other devices. All in all though, a much better system than the old paper punch card. There’s always room for improvement, but that comes anywhere in life itself.

Counterintuitive to say the least

From the spinning wheel for the time and date, to the constant log outs, drop time submittals, inability to see submitted time once it’s uploaded, and just the general clunkiness of the whole interface, this app was not made with the final user in mind.. punching in and out of a simple time clock shouldn’t take 5 minutes. Why do I have to wait for my shift/job to complete before putting in my time? Should be one button to start your time, one to stop. Simple. This thing is over engineered and underperforming and wholly frustrating.

Great idea for company payroll and for payroll to charge for different jobs but man is it terrible. Crashes daily and multiple times a week, I’ve lost so many hours due to this application and it needs to be addressed. This is personal livelihoods this app affects and it’s unreal how it’s a continual occurrence. I really wish my company would opt for a better solution or even better go back to paper timesheets. My rant is over, get a better operating system if you realize your application is widely used for multiple companies and employees.

Software Maintenance • Upgraded to support iOS 26 Builds. • Unit of Measure list did not display item IDs. • Error occurred when Send Database to Foundation was selected. • Users were prompted to log in again when opening Submitted Expenses Report after login. • Search bars in Submitted Expenses and PO reports displayed incorrectly. • Group timecard totals did not update on Review & Submit. • Material quantities defaulted to zero when 6+ items were selected.
