This app was created by a software developer with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) who found the low FODMAP diet to be very effective in avoiding trigger foods. It includes the following key features:

- Clear and simple FODMAP rating system
- Database of 700+ everyday foods and ingredients
- Breakdown of each FODMAP rating (showing oligos, fructose, polyols and lactose content)
- Search by food name and filter by category/rating to find exactly what you want
- Tailor food ratings once you have worked out your tolerance

Updates to the entries for butternut squash / pumpkin, cabbage (white / common), cabbage (red), lychee (peeled), snow peas / mangetout, pine nuts, walnuts, yogurt (vanilla flavoured). Plus new entries for applesauce, cauliflower (purple), cashew butter, cheese (blue).

This app changed my life

This app changed my life and helped me restore my health. I’m 20 years old, and a few months ago, I could not digest more than a couple ounces of protein at a time. I never felt well- I suffered from severe acid reflux, bloating, gas, constipation, and hair loss, and the anxiety surrounding food ruled my life. After a few months on the low FODMAP diet, all my digestion issues have resolved, and I feel so much better and happier. This app makes it possible for me to quickly and confidentially make the right choices and feel well day to day. The information about FODMAPs varies from source to source and is often inaccurate, but I have found that this app is always accurate and reliable. Thank you for developing this guide and helping IBS sufferers like me reclaim their lives.

FODMAP app is a lifesaver

For unknown reasons I developed “adult-onset-allergies” to dozens of foods, vegetation, etc. From getting allergy shots to developing SIBO (small intestinal hydrogen issues) my ability to eat anything has become so complicated! All my life I’ve rarely eaten anything “processed” or sugar (only Stevia and fresh meats, veggies & fruit). This APP” has become my guide from just shopping in supermarkets to dining in restaurants. I just returned from Europe where restaurateurs - and waiters - are totally in tune with ingredients and happy to help. It’s getting a bit better here, but is still slow to catch up.
When in doubt, CHECK THIS APP! Right at the table or in the market. It’s saved me physical pain from digestive issues and sleepless nights.

Very helpful

This app is very helpful when stating portion size for each item simply by tapping on it. This way, a person can know how much is considered an average portion and that a smaller portion of a certain food may not cause adverse effects. The app also breaks down the components that can cause possible bad reactions in each item so a person might learn which components they are most sensitive to. I like the three color system for this and for each food item in general. I’m glad the developer will continue to add more food choices as reliable information about them becomes available.
