I downloaded this app right after my first was born. I love it! It is so easy to use and make the perfect pages! You can begin with your pregnancy and create pages every four weeks. There are also multiple pages for milestones in your pregnancy like first heartbeat, nursery, baby shower, and first kick. Then, after baby is born there are so many options! They have them for every holiday and all kinda of firsts. You can also do the first four weeks and then every month! I love that there are prompts and multiple choice questions to help you figure out what to write. The app will also write a small blurb for you, but I prefer to write my own! There are options for custom pages so you can add your own ideas. I love this because it allowed me to add more pages like first time meeting family, car ride home, and hospital pictures. There are also picture only pages which let me add in his profession newborn photoshoot pics! I haven’t created a book yet because I am waiting for him to turn 1 year first, but I predict the ease of using the app will be reflected in the ordering and receiving process!

I committed to this program for my child’s baby book when I subscribed to get access to the “plus” features so have to use it now, but I’ve been very disappointed. There are so many little programming issues that would be easy to fix and improve the app tremendously. I even emailed my feedback to their team some months ago and haven’t seen any changes. For example - once chosen, the photos for a specific page cannot be swapped around on the page (as you can do on many popular photobook sites). You have to delete and re-select each one individually. Second, the graph of weights and heights doesn’t have a normal x-axis based on linear time. Rather, each data point is the same distance apart, whether it was 1 month or 2 months since the last data point. Oh, and if you don’t have a height or weight for a date then it substitutes a ‘zero’ value, making the graph dip to zero. Finally (though there are many more examples), the pages don’t populate into a book in chronological order. Each page is dated, but heaven forbid they would actually populate the book in that order. The pages have to be individually selected to be added to a book (no “select all” option) and then manually dragged into the order you want them in. These seem like some pretty basic features for an app that’s centered on making photo books. I would not recommend paying for or using it.

Honestly I loved this app when I started it but honestly I wish I just did it myself. As the year has finished and I am ready to finish my book. It will tell you to rearrange any photos that are out of place. However, when you preview it doesn’t let you exit out so you have to close the app and redo the entire re-ordering process last night I re-ordered and chose my photos and previewed over the course of five hours, and then the app just started and continuously shut down as I entered it this morning I went to do it again and finally got the pictures because it will max you out at 100 photos/pages then finally after you save your book and add it to the cart and then tells you that you’re maxed out at 20 pages or 30 pages and after it is $.75 to a dollar extra so when it maxes you out at 100 pages and tells you that the books are for an 8 x 8 hardcover $50 right as you are finished entering your card information it tells you that the total is now over $100 because 70 pages are $.75 additional. And I had even purchase the $50 for a year of the extra pages and the discount and free shipping and the additives. So now I am $50 for the actual subscription and now my book is over $100 when I could’ve just done it myself or 20 times cheaper. If you’re going to have $.75 extra per page, then put that on before the finish check out line. Also, as I am getting ready to purchase it gave me a $10 off discount. However when I put in my information it still says $10 off discount but it’s the original price and so I got charged over $100 when it should’ve been 90 do not get this app.

The only reason my kids have baby books is this app! Very user friendly! My kids love looking at their monthly pictures in the books- now the grandparents all want one! Many reviews I have read comment on expense but I also have snapfish and have many many books with that app. This one has much more kid friendly options, is easier to use and the prompts for development help you to write a story which I otherwise would not do on snapfish. The cost actually ends up being comparable and the product for use as a baby book is superior on baby page. I can do it all from my phone and it’s quick and easy to edit- not so with free photo storage like snapfish. When you have multiple kids and want them all to have memory books Baby page seems to work much better. And for the time save and ease I would pay a bit extra although by the time you add pages etc on snapfish and the tremendous up charge for shipping it turns out to be the same.
