Eye to Ear enables a completely new way of experiencing art through the combination of sound design, verbal image descriptions and interaction with the iPad. The app features works of the American artist Georgia O'Keeffe that can be explored acoustically by swiping across individual zones within the artwork. Each zone offers a unique sound design. Narrated image descriptions supplement the presentation of the works.
The combination of verbal descriptions and sounds that can be controlled by different gestures also makes visual arts accessible to blind and visually impaired people.
For now the app is available in German only.
