You know what you are supposed to change. Your coach told you. But the only way to check is to film a swing, walk over, watch it back, walk back to the ball, and by then the feel is gone. Film, review, fix is a slow loop, and most of the time the swing never actually changes.
Mirror Vision is a digital mirror for your golf swing. Your iPhone films you. Your iPad sits on the ground beside the ball and shows you the swing live, as you make it. You look down where a golfer looks anyway and watch your own backswing happen. What you feel and what is real, connected in the same moment.
WHY A MIRROR AT YOUR FEET BEATS A MIRROR ON THE WALL
Turn your head to check a wall mirror and you are no longer in golf posture. You open up ranges of motion you do not have in a real swing, so you train the wrong thing. With the iPad at your feet you stay in posture, eyes down, and still see the movement. The first session usually brings an aha moment: the change you thought was huge was almost nothing, or went the other way.
Keep practising like this and something else happens. You start to know how you are moving without the screen. That awareness is what lets you change your swing on the course, when there is no video.

Down the line. iPhone behind the ball on the target line, iPad just in front of the ball, below your feet. The classic view, live.
Face on. iPhone facing you, iPad at your feet. Watch your head, hips and arms as they move.
From behind. iPhone facing your back. A live view of your swing from behind that no mirror can give you.
THE PRACTICE LOOP
Hit the shot. Look down. The replay is already playing.
Auto-detect watches for your swing and records only that, so no dead time fills your library. The iPad replays the shot straight away, in slow motion if you want it. Show your palm to the camera to keep the clip, or do nothing and it is gone. Hit the next ball. Rep after rep, the feedback arrives while the feel is still in your hands.
THE TOOLS
A low latency live view, plus recording at up to 240 fps for slow motion, frame-by-frame stepping and a precise scrubber.
Draw lines, boxes, arrows, circles and angles over the video from either device. Draw them on the live view and they stay there while you swing into them.

The good news is its basic function of mirroring a swing from iPhone to iPad and drawing lines on the video is extremely beneficial and seemingly unique to this app, which is the only reason I keep it. The bad news is while saying they are improving the app each new revision is a step backwards and fraught with issues. Used to be able to mirror iPhone to MacBook, not anymore. Used to be able to easily draw and move lines on your video, not anymore. Now the cloud storage says it’s full when it’s empty. Now most of the time the mirrored video is blank and the mirrored app seems to freeze requiring restarting the app. Their debugging and test testing seems nonexistent. I’m very close to discontinuing my subscription. Please stop messing up your app.
Great training aid at a great value...

I found this to be a fantastic training aid. For $3.49 a month, and the ability to cancel anytime, I would say this is the best value of any golf training aid I have ever purchased. There are two things it won’t do. First, if you’re working on something your buddy told you, like “keep your head down” or “hold the lag”, it won’t help. Garbage in = Garbage Out. It will help if you’re working on something a PGA golf instructor wants you to work on. Second, its not going to replace the significantly more expensive golf video software which is loaded down with features. What it does do is provide you with a very easy way to practice specific parts of your swing without looking behind you in a mirror, or swiveling your head all around. Worst case scenario, you spent $3.49 and had to spend a couple of minutes clicking into Itunes to cancel the subscription.

Almost great app. Accomplishes one thing most other apps haven’t been able to resolve. No need for a network connection for iPhone and iPad to communicate. Thus you can take this to the range and setup without WiFi. Only downside. There is no auto detect to record and play back your swing. It does have record/play back functionality but it is rather awkward to use. If it could automatically record your swing (voice or motion activated) and then automatically play it back and I would give this 5 stars and recommend it as the very best app on the matket.

Works very well as a video mirrorer. That’s where the app’s usability ends. It’s missing a few key features to make it great. There needs to be an automatic looping of videos. Second, there needs to a way to compare two videos. Finally, there needs to be a search function. It’s a pain to scroll through hundreds of videos to find the ones you’re looking for. The addition of these feature will weight heavily subscribing again next golf season or not.
This update is about reliability.
The connection and streaming between your iPhone and iPad have been rebuilt. Pairing is faster and the live view holds.
Auto-detect and instant replay are now dependable. Hit the shot, look down, and the replay is playing.
