AAC Bestie is a speech application which verbalizes what a user has typed from a keyboard of pictures. AAC Bestie was designed with children, parents, SLPs & caretakers in mind. The app features a simple user interface, pre-saved keyboard for speakers of different levels & over 20,000+ symbols to choose from for creating new buttons if desired. AAC Bestie supports buttons in English & Russian, and has voices in 20+ additional languages. For most languages, the user is provided with a choice of different voices (male vs. female, etc.) In addition, the rate & pitch of each voice can be adjusted allowing the user to further personalize their voice. AAC Bestie contains a growing number of pre-programmed keyboards, folders & phrases which speed up communication. In addition, recent phrases are easily accessible should a user need to repeat something they have said. Additional phrases can also be saved to Favorites by the user for easy access. Note additional voices on your device may need to be enabled in Settings. If so, you can do so in Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Speech -> Voices. Data connection is not necessary for AAC Bestie to function, so a user never gets stuck without their voice. We hope you love AAC Communicator. This is a good AAC app, it would be helpful though if a TTS function was incorporated, I tried to make a group that was a keyboard but it isn’t functional for what I need. I’m used to using TTS but am trying to introduce boards and buttons to help speed things up and just improve my communication, this app offers the range of vocabulary and customization I need however so I’m going to try to stick with it, but without TTS I won’t be able to use this as my primary app, I just don’t have the skills and the vocabulary on this app to get the range of communication I need. I really appreciate that it appears to be free, I’m unable to access paid AAC at this time witch is a huge limitation for me. I’m a full time AAC user- I cannot speak.

Have been testing this out, like the interface and features, and would love to keep in mind to recommend to others...but no lifetime purchase option? $89 a year adds up, when you have comparable apps you can buy for about twice that much, but keep for life. Would love to see an outright purchase option added!
