Just confused

This seems to be an incredible app. My problem is with purchasing. After trying it out I wanted to buy, but I purchased a French/Russian version instead of English/Russian. After getting no response from support I posted a negative review. After more digging I found a way to request a refund and the funds have been put back into my account. It looks as though I have full access to the English/Russian course that I thought was a trial version but there is no way to pay. Maybe I bought this in the past and forgot since I was looking at Russian a couple years ago. It would be nice to have contact with support to resolve these issues. It would making committing to this learning method smoother. My other problem is that I wanted to delete my previous review and replace it with this one and hopefully a five star review if I can ever get all this straightened out.

The recent major update brings very nice improvements. Still a few glitches to work out but overall it’s intuitive and a great companion to the Assimil French book I carry with me everywhere.I briefly scrolled the ratings and people are very harsh. I think language learning is hard, and takes dedication. Being upset with an app is easy. By no means am I giving Assimil a pass, the app and book cost money and I expect it to work well. The app was mediocre before but there’s noticeable progress.But it’s important to me to communicate that it feels like they care about learning. The MOST important part they have is great content. I love the dialogue recordings, quizzes, and fill-in the blank features. App look and feel are secondary priorities to me but the new update addresses that look and navigation in a reasonable way.Definitely pair the app with a book if that’s doable for you. The book is where I do most of my studying, then I turn to the app for help with pronunciation.Thanks for the hard work! I’m sold on the system.

The Assimil app is very confusing to use, not reliable, and just frustrating to use. It took several attempts of trying to trial a course by clicking the same button. The lesson layout is not intuitive and I can’t select answers for the multiple choice questions.
