GPS Status Indicator
On the map, when Follow Me is active, a GPS Status indicator appears displays and reports the estimated accuracy of the active GPS receiver.
The GPS Status Indicator also appears on the Create New Service Request page if a user enables the GPS when creating the record.
By default, the GPS accuracy value is displayed in metric units (cm, m, km). If a user taps the accuracy label, it will change to imperial units (in, ft, mile). The app remembers a user’s unit’s preference.
The units in which the accuracy is displayed changes automatically based on the accuracy value.
Improvements:
Create Records from the Map Using Your GPS:
In the Freeance for Cityworks 7 device application, users have always had the ability to specify a point on the map when creating a Service Request, Work Order or Inspection. They specify the location by tapping a location with their finger. That location is used as the location for the newly created Cityworks record.
