I’ve used so many different App Store apps in the past to try to track periods, I found a few good ones, but none of them were as useful, fun, informative, and good at keeping track of all the different symptoms of periods than this one! Periods have always been so difficult for me for variety of reasons. Extremely heavy flow, mood swings,anger/feeling it will never end, and horrible anxiety that things are not going the way they’re supposed to. I’m constantly worried whether the smallest thing can be a sign of TSS or anything threatening and abnormal. Pinkllama has so many fun illustrated small books on different subjects such as what things to avoid eating and what things to eat during periods, how to help calm down your anger when on your period, and information on TSS and how to prevent it along with so much more. The system for tracking the dates of each day you’re on your period and the symptoms that go along with each day is so easy to use/look back at in case you need to track how your mood/other period symptom and your period dates have changed in the past _____ amount of time. I’ve only been using it for a (relatively) small amount of time but as I have seen so far, It’s actually very very accurate at predicting when you’re next period starts/ends and sends you adorable reminders to let you know so you can prepare. On a small side note, the little graphics, colors, comforting language (in the books), and illustrations are so fun and make me so happy just to look at. This app is ABSOLUTELY WORTH it’s subscription!! LOVE IT!!!!!! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🥰🦙💕

Wow, thank you so much for this incredible review! We're absolutely thrilled that you're loving Pinkllama, and I'm especially happy to hear that you found the small books helpful. I’ve got to say, it warms my heart to know they’re bringing you more understanding and comfort during your period. (Fun fact: I was the text editor for those little articles, so your kind words mean a lot to me!) It’s awesome that Pinkllama is helping you keep track of everything, periods can be such a rollercoaster, especially with the anxiety and all the confusing symptoms. I often think about those ancient women who experienced periods for the first time… it must’ve been terrifying!Thankfully, we’ve got all this research now, so we can be a little more relaxed (but it’s still a wild ride, right?). I’ll definitely pass along your feedback to the team, they’ll be just as happy to hear it! And we’re beyond glad that Pinkllama is serving you well as a period companion. Thanks again for your amazing review and for choosing us as your go-to app. We’re so happy to be on this journey with you! (Lots of love, Johnnie of Pinkllama 🦙💖)
great app

first of all, this app is just amazing , like if im gonna be honest? its really accurate and helps you predict when your next period is ect, even pregnancy and it has a bunch of advanced and even customizable features to mess around with or just personalize for your own use. the only tweak i would ask for is if not everything costed money? like i get it if its not completely free but you should be able to customize it to fit your own body. If anything, the app is pretty advanced and super cute! most of the apps i have used before are either inaccurate or low quality, this one is high quality and pretty accurate if you learn how to use it right, and also, you get reminders, and notifs of your period, pregnancy ect. like your own little health buddy! to get in is also not very complicated, which i find to be my ick in other health related apps i have used before. when you first get the app, you kinda settle in, then you get the idea. But anyways! thats my take on it, and the only tweak with so many reasons i would recommend this app!
Not allowed to “start period” until the app says it’s ok

So I love my other llama app. I have to say, pink panda was way cuter than pink llama. Also, I feel like when it was pink panda, I had the option to “start period” when my period actually started. I never even thought I’d use a period tracker app. But I have several medical conditions and a lot of doctors and they almost all want to know “when was your last menstrual cycle?”. I’ve always been irregular and I’m lucky to remember my name, so I decided to start at least trying to keep track. However, pink llama is really only a fantastically functional app for someone who is spot on schedule all of the time. And that’s not me. It’s great to know when I’m “supposed” to start- but it’s irritating and unhelpful that I can record flow when I actually start and make notes but the app is still going to tell me a week later that my period is starting and only THEN give me the legit option to start my period. Why? Why isn’t it written so that it shows when you SHOULD be due but allows the “start period” button to appear every day so that we are tracking our ACTUAL period and not expected to have another one a week later because the app just work that way? I may just have to look for another app for this is not at all useful to me as it currently functions. As I said- unless you’re someone who is extremely regular all of the time, I can’t honestly recommend this app. Unfortunately I unlocked everything as pink panda, which for some reason I felt was significantly superior. Oh well.

Thanks a lot for your feedback, and sorry for the late reply.Actually, the Pinkllama allows users to start the period whenever they want. To log your period, you have to tap on the plus button on the main screen> tap 'Period' icon at the top left of the page so that you see a black tick near it> then hit Done. The additional button 'Start period' appears on the main screen only when your period is due, but you can add the period anytime you want via plus button. If that's not how everything functions for you in the app, please write to hello@pinkllama-app.com and try to describe the issue in more details. Any screenshots or screen recordings you can send to us would really help us to figure out what may have gone wrong. Hope that helps! Stay healthy & happy! 💗🦙
It’s pretty

I downloaded 3 apps at the same time to see which would be best to replace my previous app. This app has a lot features, many of which you have to pay for. You get the basics of tracking your cycle and mood. Things such as symptoms, whether you took your pill, or how your body is feeling are paid features. Even the option to add a note is a paid feature. I understand that the team needs to get paid so I get having some features behind a paywall but there are other apps that look pretty and offer those features free. At least the feature of how your body is feeling and the option to make a note should be basic. Another downfall is that you can only see your projection 1-2months out. Anything longer has to be paid for. Some positives are that it tells you which phase of your cycle you may be in and gives a little explanation. Doesn’t display your possible ovulation but does tell you your chances of getting pregnant. According to their privacy policy as of 8/8/24, they keep your info on your device and only collect device stats (model, crashes, etc). Due to the limited functions I’ve decided not to keep this app but I do believe it’s a good one, just not for me.
