WHAT'S BIOFEEDBACK?
Heart Rate Variability (HRV) Biofeedback is a technique that can directly affect physiological and psychological factors through deep breathing exercises and is an ideal strategy to help us self-regulate and better cope with stressful situations
Practically speaking, HRV Biofeedback consists of providing an individual with real-time feedback on instantaneous heart rate and respiration changes while being instructed to breathe at low frequencies
You can learn more about the psychological and physiological benefits of deep breathing and HRV Biofeedback, at HRV4Biofeedback.com
HOW CAN I BENEFIT FROM BIOFEEDBACK?
Life can be demanding, from both a physical and psychological point of view
Our health and performance can be affected by how we are able to effectively cope with stressful situations and deal with anxiety, or in broader terms, our ability to emotionally self-regulate is key
The goal of HRV Biofeedback is to improve self-regulation, therefore impacting positively our health and performance

Loved hrv4training so tried this also and because the developers are expert in this field. App uses a dark to light screen change that you follow to pace breathing. The dark/light lighting is not markedly different and difficult to follow. Would suggest greater dark/light difference or a bold white line or circle like “ibreathe”. Would also be very useful to have a sound or chime cue so one could close eyes during the practice and still maintain breathing pace. It would be useful to see the HRV numbers that underly the buofeedback score. I think app will become more useful with subsequent iterations and updates.
Developer Response
Thank you for your feedback and continued support, really appreciate it. Just a quick suggestion in terms of using the app with eyes closed, you can do so by enabling the vibration, from Menu / Settings. Take care!
Good app. Could use some improvements.

I’ve really benefitted from regular RF breathing and biofeedback using this app. It’s really helped me manage stress much more effectively. I do wish there were a more robust set of external accessories. I often want to practice hands free, so I don’t need to be holding my phone to use the app, and I’m not aware of an external device that both measures your HRV and gives a vibration and quiet sound indicating the breathing intervals.
Excellent app, but could use some updates

This has all that I need for using biofeedback to try to improve my training. It is basic but excellent value. One improvement I'd like to see is better login handling. I've been randomly logged out recently for some reason, and it's a bit of a hassle to log back in. I would also like to see integration with password managers to make this process smoother.
Amazing results!

This is the single most impactful app I’ve found for getting myself to center and feeling more in the “flow” state in a super short time. Replacing/supplementing my normal meditation time and the impact is amazing. There are a couple of small things I’d change on the app, but the team that makes it is awesome so I’m sure they’ll nail this; I have been using their other app (HRV4Training)and it launches new features and great updates all the time so I’m looking forward to where they go with this.
Fixed an issue with the Health integration. You can find additional articles and resources, here: https://marcoaltini.substack.com
