A Buggy Mess

This app used to be a great tool for creating custom magic cards, but has been completely destroyed by a recent update. Firstly the game now requires an email address and login, which would not have been the worst thing if it hadn’t deleted all of your previous cards. I and likely multiple others had put hours into designing and creating cards, only to lose all of it. Second, the in-game text box is extremely buggy, glitching out if you type too fast. To demonstrate my point, the following sentence was typed using this in app text box: pa aodamur gix yoF. Can you read that? Because I definitely cannot. The last major issue is that the simple and sleek gallery feature has been completely overhauled and made extremely buggy and pixelated. I for one are unable to edit or delete cards once they have been put in the gallery, leaving it an unusable mess. While the new features like the wide frame variety and public gallery are interesting, they are definitely not worth the damage this update caused. Until these bugs are fixed I would say this app is definitely not worth your time or storage. If any of the developers are reading this, please revert to the original card editor and gallery; and if possible please bring back the cards that were deleted. Many thanks.

The app was working perfectly fine before, sure some extra things could’ve been added like updated token card frames. But with this new update I’ve 1.) lost all my pre-existing cards I’ve spent hours on making for passion projects and special tokens for things like Helm of the Host style cards, as well as 2.) I had to create an account in order to even use the app anymore. 3.) it’s much clunkier and whenever I try to make a new card the “save” and “back” buttons hide themselves at the top of my screen. 4.) what in the heck is with this “premium” nonsense? Why would anyone want to pay for stuff when the app worked perfectly fine for free (and arguably the “free” part is what sold me on getting the app in the first place). 5.) They’ve added a generative AI function now which you also have to pay for, when a majority of long-term players don’t support the use of AI in any capacity. Overall, the app has gotten worse. So much so that I can’t support this cheap, lack luster, garbage anymore. I loved it in its previous versions, but this time it just takes the garbage cake. I’m uninstalling the app now cause I can’t support what’s become of it.

Updated this again after the “new” version of this was already released. Let me tell ya, never in my life has a well love and respected app in the mtg community not only got an update that made it worse BUT also the update after to “fix bugs” just made things worse!!! Still don’t have all the cards I made, those are still gone and you still can’t type without the text bar glitching and choosing back and forth. The biggest thing for me is that you can’t edit cards anymore, you click “open” on a card that was already made and instead of it being where you left oof it’s just a BLANK CARD. Honestly at this point yall already ruined it for most of us and the only way I see you guys getting anyone to use this app again is to go back before you made this massive mistake of an update. That or just delete this from the App Store, i already went back to using the app “card creator” honestly until this gets fixed i encourage everyone to just use that app.

I love this app! It’s easy to use, it offers a good amount of formatting and design options, and you can fine tune details such as text size with ease. I love that you can edit individual parts of the card (title, card type, art, etc.) with a single tap - intuitive and user friendly!I have only one real complaint. I really wish there was a way to view cards one at a time and swipe side to side to the next card. Right now if I want to see a card up close I can tap on it from the gallery, but I have to back out, get through the “save changes?” question that always pops up, and scroll to find the next card. It’s a fairly minor annoyance, but annoying all the same.It would also be super rad to have a full art card frame other than the Ikoria frames - but being able to make full arts at all is really fun, and other card makers I’ve used don’t have any options at all for that, so this one is a super minor thing. Overall - solid 9/10!
