I’m not great at the photo editing and have always wanted to try presets but never felt like it was worth the cost when I didn’t know how to use them (like if I need an extra app or if it just loads to my phone). I’m still learning the features but so far the PinkPapaya app is very user friendly and the presets available in the free version are awesome. I love that I can just use the standard preset or make it my own! I feel like the changes are more subtle than when I try to use filters on Instagram and this is something that I absolutely love! Sometimes I want to make little tweaks to my images and now I can! The other thing I love is that the free version has 30 presets (+2 if you follow them on Instagram and sign up for the news letter- no brained there!). 100% recommend this app, especially for people like me that want to play around with their images and don’t know where to start. I’m going to play around with the free version and then likely upgrade to subscription when I get the hang of things! Thanks Sarah/Pink Papaya Team for such a great app!

I could tell you why it’s better than each popular app, but just trust me, it’s better. It has the best presets I’ve seen for free, and also other elements you can layer on top like grain, dust, sparkle, and text. I seriously can’t believe it’s free.VSCO has more presets but I honestly can never find one I actually love. Even with the paid version. And Lightroom you have to create the presets yourself, which is great for some people but for most it’s not. And then I’ve tried a bunch of other apps and again, not as good.I’m thinking about purchasing the paid plan for this app just because it’s not that expensive and I’d love to help support Sarah for creating such an amazing app. But trust me, the free version is amazing.

Not reverting back to original photo when you move things around the photo - it’s hard to center things or know the colors fit or something is out of place when you are kind of blindly moving things around it would be nice to just keep things dragable and within our sight. Final critique and not even a big one is helping identify where the center of a picture is - kind of like instagram stories have they allow you to see if you placed something here it’s dead center vs here is more of a header.

I’ve tried photo editing app after photo editing app, and they are either super advanced or they offer just a few filters and you have to pay for anything more. While this does have the option to pay to unlock everything, the basic has way more features than I anticipated -from filters to overlays to manually adjusting the s curve, saturation, temp and so on. You can even create your own presets which I’ve already done. It’s definitely great for those just starting out and those who aren’t new to editing. 10/10 recommend
