BlueFire Apps connects to your truck, motorhome, yacht, etc via the BlueFire Data Adapter. The Adapter plugs into the 9 pin or 6 pin diagnostic port of your motorhome and sends J1939 and J1708 information to the app via Bluetooth. The Adapter is available for purchase from Amazon and from our store at https://bluefire-llc.com/store.
BlueFire Apps app is free and will run without the Adapter. This provides an opportunity to view the functionality that it offers prior to purchasing an Adapter.
A summary of the features the App has is given below:
- Custom Dash - Create and customize a dash consisting of more than 50 Text and Circular gauges.
- Trip Recording - Record information about your trip to compare performance with previous trips. Trips can be emailed and saved in an Excel .csv file.
- Fuel Economy - Shows information to help you get more value from your driving.
- Motorhome Repair - Shows a multitude of information that can help determine the cause of a problem and help repair an issue.
- Fault Diagnostics - Shows any and all faults (active and in-active) along with information to help repair them. Allows reseting the faults after being repaired.
- Component Information - Shows the VIN, make, model, and serial number of the engine, brakes, and transmission.
- Data Logging - Allows logging of data at a set interval and saving the data in an Excel .csv file for later analysis.
- Multi-Lingual - When the translations are complete the app will be available in Spanish, Portuguese, and French.

Pros: The functionality and scope of data that this tool provides is amazing. The gauge displays and customization available also amazing. Cons: The app interface to build and modify the main display (Dash) is very outdated and clunky. A seemingly very simple but very frustrating bit is that the link for the ‘recommended viewing before updating’ is not clickable and even if I type it in manually it does not work. Must go hunting on the website to find it.

Come on guys. You can do better. Things like there is an update. If I click on that, the screen goes grey and there it sits. I go to the Apple store and update from there. That works fine, BUT it says you highly recommend I read a little URL that is not clickable and I can’t even copy and paste. Really? Attention to details would be most helpful. It’s abends routinely. I, using the small iPad with the latest update.
Functions as intended

Is it perfect…no. But it functions perfectly for what I wanted it for…..larger readouts of critical items on my coach.With small dash gauges that had no scaled values, to large customizable gauges on my I Pad..Keep in mind that it can only display data that is available from the ecm. I wanted to display fuel level but this is not a function involving the ecm in my coach..so that was a no go.Overall very happy with the system
