It should be pretty obvious, but the quality of your experience using the Enya guitar is going to be 100% impacted by the quality of the app. That being said, I wish that the manufacturers would focus more on developing the app since the only way you can control the guitar is with this software. The first thing that I want developers to realize, is that the app is not user-friendly for guitarists, because we cannot adjust the controls and sounds to dial in specific patches, at the same time we are playing guitar. Why is there not a way to be able to modify the sounds and effects, with some type of a cord or tone that doesn’t need to be played at the same time that you’re tweaking things? This seems like a no-brainer. I could go on but I won’t because I’m not even sure anybody will read this review because I’ve already tried to contact customer service multiple times and they never reply to my emails. Great product, crappy software.

Initially the app looked well designed, then I tried to go through some of its features. Drum machine wow I was excited for this; however, it wasn’t what it’s cracked up to be. Downloading new genres of drums was hit or miss. The downloads would freeze randomly. This caused me to restart the app. Then navigating the app brought out other issues. When going into a section to check out, after looking around, I would hit the back arrow (top left) and nothing would happen. No matter what screen I ended up in, if I tried to back out I couldn’t. It seemed the iPhones clock and the back arrow were overlapping over each other, and thus I couldn’t back out. I had to close the app completely to start over. This app looks super promising but at this stage it is hit or miss. I haven’t received the guitar yet. I just hope when it arrives that using this app with the guitar doesn’t hinder my experience.

The Enya Smart Guitar has many things that it appears it can do .. but without instructions .. you are left to flounder around . It appears you have a TRRS connection .. what do you do with it ??There is a live stream connection .. what do you do with that ? On the effects .. there are many dials . But what do you do with them ?? I can't really hear anything changing .. and I can't hear delay .. disappointed !!🙁

The neck feels good on my Enya inspire. The string action and everything was tuned appropriately and it sounds very good. I was sort of reluctant to embrace this technology having to deal with an app. I like the form factor and the playability. I simply cannot understand why you would not include a basic flanger along with the chorus in the Provided app. I mean, you went this far to provide basic effects. Why would you not include a classic MXR type flanger? Please put in a flanger and I’ll add another star please I beg you!!! How am I gonna sound like Eddie Van Halen?
