Been working w this cam for over a year.. Good idea bad execution developers! Files constantly crash… thumbnail images show up from an entirely different camera onto another cameras files… video set to 10 sec arbitrarily sets to 3… updated app has deleted files from months ago showing up… I’m over this waste of time.

I have purchased two wifi trail cams, one a single lens cam and the other a two lens cam. Both connect to my iPhones and iPad through this app. At first there is a little learning curve with it. The app connects to the camera via bluetooth which in turn turns the camera’s wifi connection on. One then connects the mobile device to the wifi access point being broadcast by the cam. Yes, the downloads to the mobile can take a while. You can speed this up by having the cam save lower resolution pics and videos. (Do you really need 48 mp pics?). Although the user interface isn’t terribly intuitive, you figure it out after a couple uses. There is a switch at the bottom to toggle between photo/ video. Select and download the pics/videos you want and they are in the Local Album accessed from the Main Screen of the app. They are also accessible in a local folder titled Wildlife Cam in the Photos App on my iDevices. This is where I usually view and manage them.What do I like most about this setup? I like the fact that I do not have to remove the sd card from the camera. Have you ever dropped a micro sd card in the leaves in the woods and then tried to find it? I have spent much more time searching in the leaves than I have waiting for the wifi camera downloads!

I agree with the other comments. Buffering is bad. 20 second videos buffer almost every 3 seconds of the video, so you spend more time watching the wheel spin than watching the video. Downloaded images only seem to show up while connected to the camera, so what’s the point of downloading? Maybe that stops the buffering? I don’t know because I decided it was easier to pull the memory card to download videos that I want to keep.Importing images onto Apple devices by pulling the memory card required me to rename the picture folder. I borrowed the example from my DSLR and named it 100CANON, otherwise the import option isn’t available. I am uncertain if this is a problem with this app or the Apple photo app, but thought I should post the solution.

I purchased a solar, wireless wildlife field camera for my partner, and the camera itself is great so far. Beautiful, clear images! Unfortunately, the app falls short. It takes several long minutes to view a 15 second video - it constantly stops and buffers. I save the good ones, and once downloaded you can watch it uninterrupted. It requires a LOT of patience when you have multiple clips. (He got me a Netvue Birdfy bird feeder, and the ability to view in real-time and download and watch clips is flawless! I wish this app were even half as good.)
