The Capella Mobile app serves students enrolled at Capella University, and requires a university login. It makes it easier for busy, working professionals to keep up with their program, the latest happenings in their courses, and to do some light work while on the go. Capella Mobile integrates campus, program and course activities within a convenient, single app. Primary Features: * View Campus News and Alerts * Check your Account Summary * Capella Student ID Card screen (if eligible status) * Unread count and direct link to your Capella email account (if issued) * Review your Academic Plan and register for your next course * Notifications of essential happenings in your course * Course Messages link, with unread count indicator * Read course announcements * View syllabus and instructions for studies and assignments (and FlexPath equivalents), subject to availability across courses or units. * Check the status of recent assignments (due / submitted / graded) and view instructor feedback * Post to course discussions; read and reply to classmates' or faculty postings * Reach mobile-friendly Capella Library databases to start literature searches * View your instructor or classmates’ Campus profiles (subject to their privacy settings). Could be soooo much more

1-3-13: I have to eat crow on this review. The app does all students to post/reply to discussions, submit assignments, etc. Once you open the app and if you click the tab called "view on the web", you will have the same functions as if you were on a desktop or laptop computer. However, the app still needs to be available for Nooks and Kindles. So I've changed from 2 stars to 3 stars. When the apps are available for nook and kindle readers then ill change my star rating to 5. 1st review back in Nov 2012: While I commend your efforts, this app does not assist the student on the go. Meaning if I'm out of tow but want to reply to a discussion, submit an assignment, etc - I CAN'T BECAUSE THE APP DOES NOT FUNCTION THIS WAY. I may not want to take a large bulky laptop with me on the go. This app really needs to be more functional for the student. This is just basic reading material that does not help one bit. So after upgrading, make the app available for tablets as well, ie Nooks, kindle fire's etc.

So basically, this is an amazing app if you attend Capella University, however that being said this thing seems to be down about 90% of the time. It seems like they have maintenance ongoing every single week. So the app is technically functional but if you expect to see anything about your classes well guess again unless you’re lucky enough for it to be that 10% of time.

It functions to bring up assignments, but took 2 minutes solely for me to open up the canvas assignment. Other canvas apps are quicker than this and loaded in 30 seconds.

Capella frustrated user
Even with the multiple updates, I am not able to use this site on my IPAD. It is very frustrating. Notifications do not function. Link o course work Al’s does not function.
