The ONLY thing I liked more about the UPMC EMS app than this AHN app was its drug library. It listed a comprehensive information section for every drug on the PA EMS approved medication list. Furthermore, on each drug page, it had links to every protocol where the drug might be used. It was very nice. As it stands, if I want info on a drug, I need to switch over to Epocrates. If AHN added a good drug library (comparable to Epocrates…ESPECIALLY if they added a drug calculator), it would be absolutely amazing. Also, AHN, don’t forget, the 2021 BLS, ALS, and CCT protocols are now out.

Good app for a provider. Needs the 2024 protocols though.

As a paramedic response team member this App gives us so many possibilities to better enhance and expedite our care. A few of these being the GPS for pre-alert for helicopter response, the medical guide for providing the appropriate hospital for each situation with the appropriate transport times and distances, the ability to consult with medical command physicians and staff. All of this is achieved within the palm of your hand. And finally education, the entire health systems pre-hospital education programs are available for us to see and register no matter what your location. And most importantly having the DOH ALS protocols available too is an awesome feature.

How did they ever find a developer that could build so many interlinking EMS functions?? This App gives me every important aspect of reference and contact information. I love the pre-alert GPS for air transport. Education at my fingers, and to top it off, it provides me facility reference and medical command/physician communication all in one! WoW... I finally have PA State Protocols at my fingertips. No flipping of a note book anymore!
