Lab Values+ is a study and teaching tool. It is not a medical device and is not for diagnosing or treating anyone. Nothing in it substitutes for clinical judgment, supervision, or your institution's guidelines. Reference ranges vary between laboratories — always confirm against the laboratory that ran the test.
Must have for trainees and anyone interested in their own lab work. Easy to under descriptions are very helpful.
Developer Response
Thank you! Glad the descriptions help. If there's a lab you can't find, use Send Feedback in the More tab and I'll look at adding it.
Best reference tool

The recent update is major. Lots of new labs and the descriptions are excellent. Just the right length for a quick reference. Excellent lab reference app.
Developer Response
Thank you. A lot went into that update, so this means a lot. Search gets better again in the next version.
My favorite lab values app
oh that wes
I am a 3rd year medical student and this is the 3rd lab value app I've downloaded and it is my favorite. The others are good also but this particular app is universally compatible with my iPad which I keep with me on my rotations. The iPad layout is quite nice and lets you see all the info on a single page. I found all the information on this particular app extremely useful especially being on wards for the first time. The descriptions are fantastic and have really helped me out on rounds. It's also great that you can edit pretty much everything (I've already adjusted some lab values to match my hospital). They have a ton of labs in here and I've yet to run across anything that I couldn't find. You can also find more information from a bunch of websites directly from within the app. They have links to ClinLab which is just fantastic for lab info (just found out about this site myself) that I believe none of the other lab apps have. Last but not least, you get the abbreviations and prefix/suffix apps in it also. The developers made it so that you can skip these and just use the Lab Values part of the app if you prefer (I do this) but it's nice to have those other options in there as well.
Best Lab Reference app on the market
the MS3
The app has pretty much all labs you will need reference ranges for and has a ton of info for each one. The editing feature is quite powerful and lets you add or delete info from any field. You can even change the tube top colors if they don't match the ones that your institution uses. They also organize the labs 2 ways. The first is just by topic or organ system. The second is by Common Panels which will group different lab values together by commonly ordered panels in the hospital. On top of all of that, the app is also Universally compatible with iPad! Really nicely done
Fixes an issue where some people who upgraded from an older version saw outdated values for labs they had viewed before. Search now finds panels like CMP and CBC.
