Great app but weird update

Steam Captain
I had this app until I updated it. Then i all of a sudden had the other Thumbstruments app after it was done updating. I tried to re-download this one and it didn't work either! Neither of them won't open so they need some fixing. This is too bad cuz it used to work really well.

Developer Response
We're sorry the update appeared to replace Djembe with another Thumbstruments app and then left both unable to open. We also owe you an apology for this very late reply. Version 4.1.0 of Djembe Thumb Drum now updates startup for newer iOS versions. We can't establish what caused that old update mix-up, but we've heard your concern. If anything similar remains on a supported device, please contact App Support so we can investigate.

Nice try so far

Nice to see other interesting instruments available. But with this the amount of samples is far too low. If I was intelligent enough to put out an app like this, I would make sure the amount of sampled areas recorded would correspond to the complexity of the instrument. For example; I would have a minimum of 64 surface areas sampled. Each surface area should be sampled a minimum of 6 times for each attack level, I.e. soft, moderate, hard, aggressive. The software should plot these points on the surface and respond to the area tapped, the attack level and run through the cycle of recorded attack levels in a random fashion. Since, I do not write apps, I have no ideas of the possible granularity supported by the operating system. Good luck.

Developer Response
Thank you for the detailed suggestions, and sorry for the long silence. We hear your request for more sampled positions, multiple strike intensities and varied samples to make repeated hits sound natural. Version 4.1.0 improves startup support for newer iOS versions; it doesn't add that richer sampling system. Your ideas give us useful direction when considering future sound improvements. We appreciate the care you put into explaining them.

What more can I say...boom! Thank goodness it was free. I think the ads running in it cause the crash. Don't bother!

Developer Response
We're sorry about the repeated launch crashes and the long wait for a reply. We hear both your reliability concerns and your frustration with ads. Djembe is now ad-free, and version 4.1.0 updates startup for newer iOS versions. We can't confirm what caused that older crash, but we want to improve your experience. If it still crashes on a supported device, please let us know through App Support.

1 star for the concept. Does nothing but crash.
