Are you a shortwave radio listener (SWL) in need of an up to date set of schedules for international broadcast stations? Shortwave Broadcast Schedules is a handy app that displays broadcast schedules of about 11,000 longwave, mediumwave, and shortwave broadcast stations.
The stations are initially listed in order by frequency. You can tap a button to see which stations are on the air right now, as well as search for stations by name, frequency, time of day that they are on, or select by language, target area, or country of origin.
Stations currently on the air are displayed in bold, making it quick and easy to see which stations are on right now.
The app can keep a log of stations you have heard, with the date, time, frequency, SIO, and other notes you wish to enter. Now your device can be your personal logbook!
You can keep track of favorite stations, as well as set reminders for favorite broadcasts, so you’ll never forget about a transmission again.
Tap on a station to bring up more information about the station, such as the country of origin, target area, and programming language.
When viewing the details for a station, you can tap on the frequency, country, target, or language to get a list of all other stations with that matching value. You can also tap on Schedule to see all of the transmissions throughout the day for this station.
Updated schedules can be downloaded for free.

Get your copy of Shortwave Broadcast Schedules, and never miss listening to another of your favorite stations again.
Note: A shortwave radio is required to listen to the broadcasts.
I just started using this app and I really like it. Easy to use and understand, with the on now feature makes shortwave stations identifiable even though their non English speaking stations. Logging is super easy, just a push of a button with the ability to make comments and write signal strength reports. At any price this is a very nice SWL utility.Improvements or upgrades that I'd dream of would be a receiving station lat/Lon specific sort. As in "what stations maybe available to the east coast of North America ." Otherwise I can flip open my IPAD pro, sit it next to my listening post and enjoy what's left of the SWL bands. - WI6N
Used to be great but no longer

I posted a glowing review 4 years ago but now I’m not as enthralled by this app. Ever since I updated from my old iPhone 7 to an iPhone 15 with iOS 17 (currently 17.5.1) six months ago, the app has been unstable when logging a station. In particular, when writing notes on the log, the app crashes unexpectedly, wiping out everything I’ve written. Sometimes this happens two or three times. It is VERY frustrating. I have reported this problem twice this year, already, about three months apart, but the app’s developers haven’t done a thing about it. Furthermore, the Notes section is clunky, turning apostrophes and quotation marks into strings of miscellaneous symbols, i.e., gibberish. This app is long overdue for an update!
Great SWDX Tool!!

I've been using this app for years now (can't remember the exact date I first downloaded it).The best feature is its portability! I always have my iPhone with me, so just a few key clicks provides me with a list of SW stations that are currently broadcasting.I like the display format - easy to read columns, each entry hyperlinked to info about the station of interest.Easy to update, the station list provides almost instant access to schedules, target areas, broadcast languages, etc. Say goodbye to bulky 3-ring binders, clipboards loaded with station schedules that are most likely out-of-date, and manila file folders filled with hard-to-read scribbled notes! If only this app would stream the broadcast audio when you click on a station listing!! Well, one can dream, right? Are you a Kindle Fire user? There's a version of the app for your Kindle Fire, too! Happy, happy, happy!!Believe me, you will not regret downloading, installing, and using this app!73 & Good DX!Steve WDX5FMD/N5WBI
Great aid and love the logging feature

Do not confuse the following with a criticism of the app. It's great for finding broadcasts on the increasingly sparse airwaves. "On the air" listings are surprisingly accurate. Is this data crowd-sourced or does it come only from published schedules? You can edit some fields in log entries. If you could change the frequency, you could synthesize logs for new stations. That one field reverts when the entry is saved, though. It would be nice to export logged entries e.g. via email if nothing else. This app is fine the way it is, though – "feature creep" could turn it into a monster, so maybe simple is best!
This update from Apple will improve the functionality of this app. No new features are included.
Added a logging feature, so users can keep logs of stations they hear.
Updates for iOS 10.2.
