New Jersey Lottery 17+

Crashes, constantly have to log back in, numbers don’t get posted timely. Now, the new scanner doesn’t work. If the lottery had any competition they’d be out of business. Poorly run just like any other govt “business” since they can’t get fired for doing a crappy job. Guess how many companies who make 1.5 billion dollars a year have apps that don’t work? Answer? 1. NJ Lottery!!! The other companies pay people to fix the apps or go out of business!
Also, where’s the Cash4Life and Powerball numbers after a drawing? Why does it take until next morning to see them?
I can get live updates on a Turkish women’s soccer game on a crappy sports bet app but they can’t update numbers on 1 billion dollar jackpots in a timely manner?

This app needs some serious TLC. Sometimes the app works perfectly but most of the time it does not and it’s very frustrating. The app sometimes closes on its own for no reason, the scanner option freezes or doesn’t scan, and once you click on a game for the info, you have to go all the way back to the home page in order to access the next game. If the freezing, not loading and closing out for no reason was addressed, this app would be a 5 star and have more options than any other NJ lottery app!

This app is almost a necessary evil if you play the NJ lottery in any way. For a while now, the licensing for whatever scanning software the app uses to scan scratch off tickets has expired and I guess nobody cares enough to keep the app usable for lottery customers. There isn’t a way in the app to manually enter the ticket information either) at least I haven’t located a way in the app).

Honestly it’s a blessing in disguise. If the state of NJ doesn’t care enough to fix a problem with their app, then maybe I don’t need to be contributing any more money towards the NJ lottery…it’s just a thought. But like everything else government related, fixes move at slower than a glacial pace.
