I just made the switch to Independent health starting in 2023. I had been with blue cross for 6 years. Blue cross was bought out by high mark and things really hit rock bottom from a customer prospective. After talking with my employer about health care options I chose Independent health. What a difference! Less wait times to talk to an IH rep, great app, great member benefits. My family and I are very impressed! Keep up the good work Independent Health!

This helps. i like being able to make sense of it by quickly checking my deductible, Health Extras balance and peeking at covered benefits on my plan before seeing a doctor.

I know insurance companies onlycare about taking every last dollar we have, but for the love of god, please make a better functioning app for us to use while you rob us blind. Why on earth can’t I stay logged into the app? Why can’t I use biometrics to log in? After 24 hours do I REALLY need to verify my phone again? It’s annoying. Also, your list of providers who are accepting new patients is wrong. Nobody ever updates it. Make it easier to take my money too, I can’t believe you haven’t yet.

For an insurance company that makes millions you would think that they could make an app that isn’t constantly lagging. Every time I go onto the app and try to do something simple like look for a new provider, I go to click and blank screen pops up. I have to close out the app typically more than once before it finally works. Often the app freezes as well. It’s ridiculous to have to resort to the website when the app is available and is meant to improve ease of access.
- Lifestyle Benefit MAP Addition. For members that are eligible for the “Pathways” nutrition benefit choice, a Member Action Plan has been added to allow for choice after the Activation experience.
- Minor bug fixes including scroll ability in registration, updates to the MediSource and MediSource Connect handbook links in Activation, enabling add/change PCP and OBGYN in Activation, correcting the Health Apps back arrow destination, display of the “download app” CTA for Foodmsart health app, and removal of Foodsmart link for MediSource/MediSource Connect members.
