Currently, the buses available via this service are limited, but the MTA is rolling this out to more buses soon. * Please note that not all MTA Buses are available. This is not a limitation of the BusBus NYC app. The reason they are not included is that the MTA has not made this live data available yet on all bus lines.

Blue Route line

I actually like that blue line, it’s especially good later on at night or early in the morning when there are fewer buses out there on the road, you can go up and down the route quickly to see just how far that one or two buses that are out there on the route are. I am actually a NYC MTA Bus Operator with over 35 years of service and i also use the app for the job and we use it in another way, when we have to relieve another bus operator out there on the road that driver has a certain run number on that route so when we hit on one of those buses on that route not only can we see the bus number we can also see the run number which means we know exactly were the bus and driver is that we have to relieve and we know approximately were that bus is supposed to be on the route so we can see if the bus is going to be here on time or late and if he is going to be very late and we are near the depot or by the terminal we can go and get another bus from the dispatcher which helps the service out there. The blue line helps a lot especially when we have more than one route on the map so I love the app and the blue line, The only thing I just switch my phone from an iPhone 6 to an iPhone 11 Pro Max and for some reason I can’t get the blue line anymore can you please help me and my co bus operator and see if this can be fixed, Thank you very much

It appears this app is unique in one way. My husband is a bus driver and sometimes I want to know how close he is to his swing or short break if I need to call him. This app not only shows you the bus number but also the run number identifying the particular bus driver (if you know their run number). I only wish that you can tag a bus to make it highlighted or a different color during their duration so that I don’t have to keep tapping on all the busses to see the particular bus information I’m trying to find.

Not a frequent app reviewer, but this is the BEST visual for buses. Don’t need to know the numbers nor the stops. Just see buses where you are or where you want to go. Simple straight forward. Visually simple. I highly recommendNote: sometimes the BxM (1&2) buses dont show in the Bronx
