The size of the thermostat is disappointing; just too tiny to be useful. I don’t understand why the superior Amana thermostat is not used since Goodman makes both systems that are identical. Fortunately, the Goodman mobile app screen output is near the same as the Amana. The Goodman app is also comprehensive and human engineered for quick learning. For the outrageous cost of Goodman horizontal output heat pumps, Goodman owes me Amana thermostats for both my systems. Without an iPhone the Goodman thermostat is non-functional. Come on Goodman this is annoying and a bad look for a good brand. I gave you 5 stars as a gift incentive to make this right for me.

App works ok, but isn’t recognized with Google Home voice controls

App works well as a standalone, but when I sync with Google Home, it won’t recognize any voice commands. It may be the Google Home issue and integration, but my other thermostat (Nest) works fine for my upstairs. If I could get voice commands to work with the Goodman app, it would be great.

The AC unit and inverter tech itself is great. But there is no reason on earth that this system should fail to switch modes from the thermostat when WiFi is down. Talk about a huge apocalyptic IoT problem waiting to happen. All it takes to knock out my AC is a solar flare, a worker cutting a cable down the street, or the homeowner switching internet providers. That is such a big flaw that I recommend everyone stay far away from this company.
