BeeBot is your social audio guide to the city.
It's like having that friend who knows everything that's happening, except it whispers directly into your ears as you walk around. BeeBot gives you a few short updates a day about people, places, and things nearby, emceed by your host, DJ BeeBot.
BeeBot turns on automatically when you put your headphones in and stays quiet when you take them off. You can check in with DJ BeeBot to share what you're doing or what's happening nearby — BeeBot shares your updates with friends and other users nearby. Think of it as your personal radio DJ mixed with a group chat with your friends, all in your ears.

Used this app for over 2 weeks. I had high expectations!I checked in, left comments, etc. And yet BeeBot would read a – usually useless – fact about a random business in my neighborhood like once a week. Why? What’s the point?I get what the developers are going for, but this is a half-baked app that’s still in beta mode.

WHAT'S NEW
- Battery Improvements
BeeBot's energy demands have been greatly reduced. We now reduce GPS
accuracy requirements when possible and power down when you stop
somewhere.
+ When you arrive at home, work, or a café, BeeBot goes to sleep and
will not automatically connect when you pop in your headphones.
+ When you're leaving, BeeBot powers back up — you'll hear "BeeBot
Activated" a block or two into your commute.
+ This results in HUGE battery savings, though it does change the UX
a bit. Let us know what you think by going to Settings > Submit Feedback!

+ Modernized the UI to support Liquid Glass (iOS 26).
+ Share a clip you heard from the DJ by going into the History tab. This is an early prototype for exporting BeeBot content. Try it out!
+ Delete a post. Go to History and select something you posted. You'll find a delete option in the navigation header.
+ Profile pictures. We'll prompt you for an avatar image during onboarding (it's optional) and you can modify it whenever from Edit Profile.
+ Fresh new UX for adding keywords in both onboarding and from your profile.
+ Long press the + button and we'll prep a check+in for your current location.

+ Coin sound doesn't always plays on headphone connection. We've improved our system logs for this error and would love if you could Submit Feedback when you encounter this!
+ Coin + BeeBot Activated playing out of the blue after you've already heard it ("Meditation bug" is back from the dead). We're on it.

Device Management:

- Drop a Pin to leave a note, tip, or memory tied to a location. Set the duration of the message or let BeeBot decide for you.
- Control who hears your content with the choice of Everyone vs Friends Only... you can even submit anonymously.
A new and improved audio loading system:
- Reduces latency between audio clips playing .
- Fixes phone volume being stuck in lowered state due to hangs when downloading BeeBot audio. Common when on the subway or driving through areas with poor connection.
- Fixes edge cases that could lead to BeeBot speaking over your phone call.
- Fixes bug that would occasionally allow 2 audio clips to play for a single venue.
