I really like this game! I appreciate that it's actually an idle game. While you definitely collect more resources when you have the app open, you do get a decent amount for two hours while it's closed. You should make sure you are defeating the pirates if you can, because defeating all of them gives good rewards. You get character cards, some of which are useful to level up. You can use them in a little cave to "fight" (you just press the fight button and then you win or lose, it's not stressful at all, I promise!) to win coins. The only thing I didn't like was that when I moved to the 2nd island, I didn't keep any of the progress I had made with buying level ups for skills like better logging speed, walking speed, less miasma damage, better sleep, etc. and my coins reset. I though I had permanently unlocked the skills that I had bought with the gems. Maybe a warning when you unlock the next island, or somewhere in the skill buying menu, where it says that it only applies to the current island? Otherwise, great game!I will say though, I later went back to the first island and I still had everything unlocked, and all my progress saved. So you can go back and forth between the locations once you unlock them.There was a few days towards the end of my ability to level things up and buy new buildings where I felt like I wasn't progressing as fast as I wanted to because iron mining took SO LONG, but then I focused more on fighting the pirates and was able to quickly move to the next island.

Super addictive game! One that isn’t way too easy and you have to actually think about which thing you should upgrade/work on to improve. BUT the attacks are WAY too frequent. I have been moving my lumber jacks to different spots because of not being able to update the fire quick enough and then end up having to move them back within the shooting range each time.. at first it was okay but after awhile it got super annoying having to move everything around so often to try and protect against attacks.. the attacks are like everyday other game day or so. It’s caused me to start getting burned out already.

So I thought this game was cool and it was fun to play but it just got way too stressful with the attacks. The pirates were attacking every other day and I just couldn’t update my guard quick enough. I kept losing people and then the search party was barely finding anyone so I would have less people each time the pirates attacked and just never enough time. At one point I lost 15 people and the search only brought back 4. I kept losing to the pirates because of this. Then people started dying of starvation because I couldn’t get enough farmers and hunters. And by the time I fixed everything the pirates had broken they come back and break everything I just fixed it’s ridiculous. It just took forever to be able to update my guard and I kept losing all of my supplies to the pirates so then it would take even longer. This game just wasn’t fun anymore and seemed like a losing battle so I deleted it. (Also you should stop putting the solitaire cash ads in the game they have a glitch where they replay infinitely and I would have to exit out of the game and I wouldn’t get my rewards)

Yes, this game is fun. At first. But it is not well designed and it has been abandoned by the developer so be warned not to spend any money on this game. Why? 1) There is a feature that speeds development and each tier is powered by watching an ad. If you pay to go ad-free, you are punished because then those tiers cost gems. So you are punished for spending money. And when we pay to remove ads, we expect to receive the benefits of watching ads without having to watch them: but we don’t. It just cripples the game. 2) The game is buggy and unfinished. For example, Sandstorm island has bugs that hide the chests. But biggest issue is that after struggling for a long time to collect the maps to unlock Acid Rain Island….it will not unlock. I can see from their Facebook page that other players have this glitch too, and have gotten zero response from the developer. So if you want to play this game, play it for what it is: a free game with a few short, poorly-designed levels with glitches and zero support. Don’t waste any money on it. Cheers.
