Description

Welcome to the future!
… Or is it the past? You start off your empire building adventure as a worker in the distant future who, thanks to a rather unfortunate mistake, finds themselves thrown back in time all the way to the beginning of humanity. This fun strategy game will test your business acumen and tycoon tendencies as you build the world’s cities and civilizations from the ground up.

History in the making
After you’re thrown back in time, you’ll need to meet and work with locals to build and grow your way to the top and return to the future – you’ll also need to keep an eye out for time crystals to collect at the end of each level to keep moving through the ages. Experience the evolution of civilization in this fantastic idle style game as you get a feel for history up close and personal.

Get your business plan on – At each step of your journey, you’ll need to earn money by selling items or resources to the locals. As you progress through the eras those items will change, evolving as you move up in time to reflect modernization. You’ll need to strike the right balance and find the best strategy to maximize profits while also hiring more workers and expanding your offerings each time to progress as fast as possible.
Staycation time – While your character may have been haplessly thrown back in time and is now working in a Medieval town or prehistoric society, you’re able to just sit back and relax all while leveling up, no matter where you are. Chart your rise from your couch, from the train, or even from your work desk (shh, we won’t tell anyone!) – this is a chill game where there’s no crazy pressure to fight off invaders, timers that need to be beat, or anything stressful of the sort.

Go down in history – Not only do you get the fun of experiencing different eras of civilization, but you also get to customize your character to enhance their abilities! Along the way, as you fashionably work through time, you’ll also take part in building a fantastic tower – don’t forget to click that build button every time you see it appear so that your momentum and tower keep rising. After all, you want to be remembered in history as the one who got it all done, right?
And the rest is history
Get ready to take a blast to the past and experience civilization and humanity’s evolution up close and personal – you’re the one leading it! Put Earth on the right path forward and leave your mark on history: Idle Civilizations ticks all the boxes for fun, relaxation, and excitement, so you won’t want to miss it.

Only played Level 3, no forced ads.

Okay, so the game was a bit slow for me and I ended up uninstalling because I knew it would only get slower. It has cute toon graphics. The music is fine. And aside from the banner at the bottom of the screen, I watched ZERO ads. Yes, there were absolutely no forced ads. However, I’m sure the ad bonuses could have sped up my progression, I’m happy to say you do NOT have to view them. That earns five stars in my book. I never got to the dragon unfortunately. It took hours to beat the third stage in a Prehistoric. Each level up becomes much longer.

Others have mentioned forced ads, though… maybe I didn’t get far enough. It did ask me to rate it and I clicked later. Did they change their forced ads to not happen anymore? If so, I’ll rate the game 2 stars lower.

Ok, not great, lots and lots and lots of ads

There will constantly be multiple icons on the screen trying to get you to watch ads. I understand that the devs want to make money, but it seems like that’s the main goal, rather to create a fun game. I’ve seen other mention a banner at the bottom, and I saw something in the game about paying $6 to remove the banner, but for me there is no banner. I’ve played a few games like this before I like the graphics and story of this one the best, though, honestly, all games like this get very repetitive and boring after a while. My biggest complaint, aside from the ads, is the equipment will make it seem like it’s an upgrade when it’s not. I have a gray body piece and a green body piece. I have the green one equipped and the gray one says it would be an upgrade, so I equip it and see my bonus go way down and then the green one says it’s an upgrade. It’s very confusing. Updated my review to 1 star after experiencing a forced ad. Nope. Uninstalling this game. I had watched a bunch of ads to quickly get through an event, but I absolutely loath being forced to watch a full screen video ad when I’m trying to a play a game. It should ALWAYS be optional, NEVER forced.

Beat

I played this game and the levels are fantastically interesting and I get it takes a lot to create the games, just to figure this out when is the next levels coming out and if there is any new side quests that can be added during this time that would be great. The side levels like the dragon one shouldn't be to long in days wise. It should be close to a day or hours per side quest. That way we don't have to wait so long for another one to come out and it's more challenging.
So how long do we wait till the update comes out?
