  • 1.Warnings
Use only EDAN‑supplied power adapter and accessories; non‑approved may cause incorrect results, safety issues or increased emissions or decreased immunity of the equipment.Do not use adapter in transport/emergency.
Use the power adapter to isolate the probe from mains; position it for easy disconnection.
    The battery is non-removable.
Nano is IP67 rated (dust-proof and against temporary immersion). Avoid prolonged moisture exposure; the connection cable is not splash‑proof and must be kept dry.
Unplug charger when not charging to avoid energy waste and electrical risk.
Operation exceeding specified physiological signal or the operational specification may cause inaccurate results.
Avoid excessive temperature, humidity, dirt, direct sunlight, and wet environments (RH > 95%).
Do not use the probe near heat sources or above 40˚C or store above 45˚C.Do not heat or dispose of in fire.
Parts/accessories, and/or the system configuration, must meet IEC/EN60601 series safety standards.
Clean and disinfect probes and reusable accessories after each exam using FDA-cleared protective barriers. Follow instructions, sterile procedures and infection control policies for personnel and equipment.
Use single‑use sheath when performing biopsy.
Latex-containing sheaths may cause severe allergy in sensitive persons. Healthcare professionals should identify latex-sensitive patients and be prepared to treat allergic reactions immediately. (Refer to March 29, 1991 Medical Alert on Latex products)
Improper operation may cause battery overheating, ignition, or explosion. Read user manual and warnings carefully.
Do not touch accessible contacts of electrical equipment and the patient simultaneously.
Do not maintain system while in use with patient.
Install the system according the EMC guidance provided in Appendix D
Do not stack the system on other electronic equipment.
See Appendix D for separation distances from other equipment, including portable and RF devices.
In road ambulance environments, maintain minimum separation between multiple operating devices to prevent interference.
    No modification allowed.
The system should be maintained annually by qualified technician.
Keep non-medical equipment out of the vicinity of the patient. (1.5m/6ft.)
Use sterile technique for biopsy; sterilize the needle guide between uses; use a sterile needle each time.
Stop using if needle guide bracket or needle is bent, twisted, or deformed.
Other equipment may interfere with the system even if CISPR EMISSION compliant.
Do not use with high‑frequency surgical equipment.
    Follow manufacturer instructions for disinfectants.
    Ensure disinfectant has not expired.
The Nano is not for intra-cardiac use or direct cardiac contact or contact with the central nervous system and central cardiovascular system.
Disconnect the probe before cleaning or disinfecting.
If the probe is not used for a long time, charge at least every 3 months to prevent over-discharge.
Do not connect probe via cable when tablet/phone is on platform.
    2. Precautions
Avoid dusty, vibrating environments and flammable anesthetics.
Inspect equipment, cables, probes before use; replace if damaged.
Follow ALARA: minimize ultrasound exposure time and power.
The system generates radio frequency energy, which may interfere with nearby devices or cause image distortion; reposition if needed.
Use only by qualified physicians or health professionals.
System not for long-term storage; back up data regularly and confirm success before deletion.
Confirm patient ID before storing or printing any exam information.
Images may have artifacts; use only as part of overall clinical assessment.
To avoid electrical shock, disconnect from AC power before cleaning.
The system contains no user serviceable parts; repairs only by EDAN-certified personnel.
Dispose of device, accessories, packaging, and cleaning agents per local/hospital regulations.
Report serious incidents to manufacturer and competent authority.
    Automated cleaning/disinfection prohibited.
