I think the app has potential but it’s not fully there yet. You’ll fill out application and it’ll say you’ll get an acceptance in about 3 weeks. After about 9 weeks I had to email them for an update and then suddenly I had been accepted. There is no trial period for the app. It’s $95 for 3 setups. That is the lowest possible option. It’s a VERY steep price and after using it, it’s not justified at all. The AI has to be reminded again and again of your set preferences and I kept getting shown people that did not fit in my preferences. The intro (for myself and the other person) is so small and doesn’t give you enough of an idea about the person to want to spend your 1 setup on them. Furthermore, they hid and blur potential matches and title them as ‘coming next week’. Why are these options being hidden when I’ve already paid an insane amount for the application? I think eventually they could have potential but it’s just not there yet and just left me more frustrated than hopeful.

I don’t write app reviews but felt like I needed to write this one. I was contacted by the Sitch team weeks before they launched in SF as they wanted me to be one of the first people on this new “AI matchmaking” app. I had very high hopes as I went to the launch event and even the feedback session with the founders where I really resonated with them and their mission. So much to my surprise almost 3 months later I’ve not had A SINGLE setup even after paying $100+ for 5 setups. That’s insane to me. When I was using Hinge I would consistently get matches and go on dates, but quickly grew frustrated of just swiping on dating apps (as everyone knows) so I really thought this would work out but it’s just not it. Not only do I get people that pop up over and over again that I’ve said no to, but I think there’s just not people on the app who are using it. You need users for this to work, and the founders keep going city to city advertising like they’ve had so much success and it’s going to work in a new city when it hasn’t. For me it’s frustrating that they made me think (through their launch party and feedback session) that if you pay you will get quality setups only to get none. I hope they see this and make changes because not only is the app riddled with bugs, users aren’t using the app after signing up.

I joined because my friend invited me with a free setup , that was not true at all. It would not allow me to use it and forced me to pay 80$ upfront for 3 setups. Its been over 2 months , and had only one match. That one match did not even respond to my first message which was really odd considering they advertise against that narrative. Ive probably been given less than 12 profiles in the 2 month span to even get a chance at matching. Im really starting to get frustrated since 80$ would have been great value on other dating apps , and I decided to blow it on this one. Some weeks I wont even be given a setup. Another note I wanna make is the preferences some of the women have on the app will exclude anyone short 🤣.My friend is a short king , he has not gotten one setup yet! Not even a hey check out this potential match in over two months!!! He put in a complaint and it was never answered. So i would definitely save your money , the founders will not answer your support emails either good luck trying to get a refund.

Joined 3-4 months ago in SF and was hopeful in the “quality over quantity” idea they promote, paid for some set ups. Ive previously gotten decent matches on other apps, just nothing fit long term so figured it was worth a try. A month or two in I emailed to just ask if there was a reason I wasn’t getting matches or seeing people that remotely fit my basic criteria (I’m quite open to meeting different types but basic life goals and interests need to be somewhat aligned). Was told my profile was marked to get me more matches that fit what I’m looking for. A month later and still just as bad. And the “matchmaker” (bot) always asks the same questions about my preferences even though I’ve given the same answer over and over and you fill out a lengthy profile when you sign up. I’m betting most people buy one package from them, are disappointed and move back to the other apps. This AI just a lot more A than the I. Don’t waste your money.
