Coptic Reader is a mobile application that contains the liturgical text, rites, psalmodies, hymns, melodies, services, and sacraments of the Coptic Orthodox Church. See below for a full list of included content. Coptic Reader is not simply a text reader but rather it dynamically creates each document/service according to the rites of the current day, or selected day/feast. Coptic Reader builds each document on the fly with all appropriate hymns, rites and instructions to take the guess work out of the order of a church service. Coptic Reader can generate documents in a combination of English, Arabic, and Coptic and supports both English and Arabic as the application interface language. Coptic Reader is fully customizable and allows you to show/hide different liturgical roles (i.e., Priest, Deacon, and Congregation), inaudible prayers, rubrics/comments, and languages. You may choose between different graphical themes as well as change the document text size. A presentation mode is also supported that allows you to project the content in your church for a complete experience. The application also allows you to control which saint or archangel commemorations will be shown in doxologies, hymns, responses, and other prayers for your church's intercessors. Finally a unifying effort. This app is such a tremendous benefit to our wonderful Church.

I have been attending Coptic churches in America since the 1970’s. God bless all those who dedicated time and effort on those early translations. Thank you to Coptic Reader for being a unifying force for the English language in the Coptic Orthodox Chirch in a very professional and tech-savvy way!!!I have one technical request. I often find myself wanting to share from the app - whether it be a Bible reading or a passage from the liturgy or the Synexarium. Currently the only way to do this is to either find the passage elsewhere or screenshot; however, sometimes multiple screenshots are needed and this is not ideal. Please make it possible to cut and past from this app. Thanks again for all of your efforts!!!

Coptic Reader is a great app! My church used it for years. However, the app In Spirit and Truth is more accurate, it does have a few flaws but is otherwise very good. The reason why I am giving 3 stars and not 4 or 5 is because Coptic Reader has some very big issues. For example, in the new update it said that if the Second or Third Day of the Feast of the Cross fell on a Sunday, then the Sunday Readings would be used instead. I am confused where you got that rite. I’ve talked to many people (Bishops and Priests included) who say that if that happens, then the Feast of the Cross Readings will replace the Sunday Readings because a feast overrules the Sunday Readings. It’s like saying that if the Feast of the Theophany fell on a Sunday, then the Sunday Readings would override the readings of the Feast. The Feasts have readings that override the Sunday Readings. Also, during the Holy Week of Pascha, Coptic Reader takes out a portion of the Creed. This is wrong because we say the whole creed no matter the season of the church. No one I’ve talked to agrees with this because the Creed is the Faith of the Church and just because Christ wasn’t crucified or hasn’t risen from the dead yet doesn’t mean that we take that portion of the Creed out. I’m just wondering where you guys got those rites from and who told you that those are ok. Please forgive me and pray for me. This app is really a great app and just needs a few improvements. I love using it and it helps me with my spiritual journey. God bless. Samuel Samaan.
