I was so excited to find this app because as a child, my family played this game so much and I have such fond memories of that time. But nowadays there isn’t anyone I can play it with, so the app makes it possible for me to play Dutch Blitz again.However, after the update I installed last night there has been a noticeable and frustrating problem: it freezes after some rounds instead of going on to the statistics screen and such. It doesn’t do this every time but has done it several times. There doesn’t seem to be anything I can do to make it go to the next screen. I have to forfeit my progress and start the game over new. I also couldn’t find a way to report this problem to the company directly, as the support link just goes to the general website. I hope someone who can bring about change sees this and gets the problem fixed soon.

I love this game, but this app needs major improvement. My main annoyance with this app is that even when my card is already first to be placed, the computer will default get it every time it has a card to out there, even if mine is literally hovering over it first. In actual Dutch blitz this would never happen. Another annoyance is that I’ve been having trouble getting the card to stick where I drop it. It often will go right back to my hand after I’ve placed it over a card. That is so frustrating, and has oftentimes resulted in me losing those points to the computer when it swoops in a second later. I would have otherwise gotten it if the card has stayed where I placed it, and it’s a frustration I experience far too often in this game.. It really needs a better way of detecting who made the match first, and keeping the card on. I’ve also had a few issues with the touch buttons glitching. I’ve had some times where I’ve pushed the deck button and then again, and again, and it doesn’t deal. Or pushed the button to start the game and it does nothing. I’ve had to close the app out and reopen it to get it to work again. This has resulted in losing points and sometimes even having to forego the game. If these issues could be fixed, this would be the perfect game. But as it is, it can be quite frustrating.

i do like this app. i get annoyed when i put a card up and it doesn’t stick and then another player steals it…could be user error but i know there’s a problem with it because ill try several times and it won’t stick. also..so unrealistic with the speed. the CPU takes 10 seconds to put down an obvious card but .05 seconds to play another hahah. BUT my biggest issue is this app goes down like 3 times a week at least! last time it was down for like a day or two. i do play a lot (again..love dutch blitz haha) i’ve been playing this card game since i was a kid and learned rules i never played so that’s cool! just why does the app crash so much!! :( also…would love an update to play with friends!! a great app regardless!

A great start on a mobile version of my family’s favorite game. A few things that would be nice to see (and that I’d then consider the ad free fee) — customizable decks (perhaps based on “skill level”), multiplayer for both local and online, the option to choose a number of players you play against, or choose bot difficulty on individual bots rather than the whole game. It also seems to me like the only difference between difficulty levels is the speed that the players play at. I wonder if this could change somehow? Additionally, perhaps a way to customize rules, such as marrying, shifting a card in the wood pile, and whether or not the cards in the blitz pile are visible at the start of the game. Just some ideas!
