Best app after trying everything out there!

I am tracking my fitness journey and needed an app to photo-track body composition changes. I tried so many apps. There were no other apps that were this clean and simple to use and did exactly what I was looking for (take daily photos and be able to easily stitch it together in a photo lapse). When I originally downloaded the app, the controls were not working correctly. I reached out to the app designers and they were unbelievably helpful. They released an update literally as a result of my request and fixed the controls. I love this app and the team behind it. Thank you so much!

App DELETED all my PHOTOS & JOURNEYS

I still have a 1-year active subscription that doesn’t expire until November 2025. I had 5 Journeys I had created. One day I open the app & ALL my photos had been deleted, which also meant all my 5 Journeys had been deleted. There was literally nothing left. Even worse, my absolute mistake in hindsight, the app gives you the option to save the photos you take in your camera roll on the phone or only in the app on your journeys—idiot me chose “save in app only”. I had daily things I tracked for months. Oh & btw, this is the second review I’m leaving bc when this occurred a few months back, nothing was done about this. I’m still paying for months that I don’t have access to & journeys I have to start all over, which really blows to lose all that progress tracking, gone. Would give negative stars if I could. DO NOT USE THIS APP.

Hi, firstly I'm very sorry to hear about your experience. We do everything we can to ensure photos are secure and backed up at all times. The app uses your iCloud account (if signed in on your device) in addition to storage within the app to store your photos and journeys. We purposely don't store photos or journeys on our servers to ensure complete privacy, and so that only you can access your photos. If you were logged into iCloud when initially creating journeys or adding photos and then later logged out of iCloud, switched the iCloud account on your device or disabled saving to iCloud for PhotoJourney specifically, it could make journeys / photos seem to disappear, but they should still be backed up in the original iCloud account. Please check your iCloud settings (Go to: Settings > iCloud > Saved to iCloud > PhotoJourney) to double-check PhotoJourney is enabled for iCloud backup there. So long as you were using iCloud (and sign back in with the same account on your device), journeys and photos should re-appear in the app when you re-enable this setting. When the app re-stores photos / journeys from iCloud, either after an app deletion or an iCloud settings change, it may take several minutes photos to appear in the app. If you've never deleted the app, or changed your iCloud settings, then it is extremely unusual for photos or journeys to randomly disappear from the app. I can imagine how frustrating this must be though so once again I apologize for this poor experience. If the steps above regarding iCloud configuration don't resolve your issue and you would like to request a refund you can go to https://reportaproblem.apple.com and do so there, as I would of course be happy for your subscription to be refunded. In terms of improving our app and ensuring this doesn't happen again for you or others, it would be helpful if you could get in touch via the 'Report a bug' option from settings within the app. This sends us an email that includes some information about your device and iOS version, so we can try and better pinpoint the root cause of the issue you experienced. The app is really well made and helpful, but once you are committed and you hit the limits on the free version, you are asked to pay $8/week or $35/year before being able to take more pictures, despite the fact that I think it runs entirely on your phone (no backend costs).Those prices are way too much. Which is a shame, because like I said, it's a well-made app. I would have definitely paid for the Pro version if the cost was more reasonable, but instead I will have to abandon it for now. If the price is lowered in the future I would love to come back to it.

To give some context, as an independent developer, the subscription helps support me directly as income and it is how I’m able to afford to keep improving the app. I also made a deliberate choice to not use backend servers. Instead photos stay on your device and are backed up in your own iCloud account, which means they’re completely private and only you can access them.
