Cinematic audio tours across the world's most-visited cities. Now live in New York, London, Rome, Paris, Florence, and more.
Dex turns the world's greatest places into cinematic experiences — with spellbinding stories, captivating characters, immersive sound design, and an AI guide that knows every corner.
PICK YOUR STORYTELLER
The same place, told differently. With Dex, you choose who tells the story. A historian. A rebel. A queen. Each storyteller brings a unique perspective, turning a single landmark into a battleground, a love story, or a legend.
CINEMATIC AUDIO TOURS
This is not a standard audio guide. Dex delivers full-production audio experiences with rich narration, original soundtracks, and edge-of-your-seat sound effects. Every chapter is crafted to make you feel like you are inside the story — not just listening to it.
EXPLORE ON YOUR TERMS
Stories are organized into bite-sized chapters so you can explore at your own pace. Pause, skip ahead, or go deep — Dex adapts to how you want to experience a place.
ASK DEX ANYTHING
See something interesting? Ask Dex. Scan an object, point at a painting, or just ask a question — and get thoughtful, contextual answers powered by AI. Dex is more than just a tour; it is a knowledgeable companion that travels with you.
INTERACTIVE CHARACTERS
Dex goes beyond audio. Meet interactive characters who engage you, surprise you, and pull you deeper into every location. Unlock hidden stories that make exploring fun for everyone — solo travelers, couples, and families alike.

so youre supposed to stand almost right up against the rothkos at moma instead of admiring them from across the room, thats how he wanted them seen. the app explains why and the whole room changes once you do it. content that actually changes how you behave is doing its job. ive been back three times since and done it different every time. i will say the guards will move you along if you stand that close for too long, which is kind of a shame considering thats literally what the app tells you to do. not the apps fault, just funny
Nearly trod on it
vita jernigan
It stopped me before I walked straight across the medieval pavement in front of the high altar, an inlaid stone floor that has been in place since the thirteenth century and which I would certainly have crossed whilst gazing up at something else entirely. That is what impressed me most about it. It is very good at catching what is under and beside you, not only the famous things straight ahead.
Honest about the casts
FelicidadRoundsx
A lot of the mounted dinosaur bone on display is cast rather than original, with the actual fossils kept in storage. Dex explains why that is standard museum practice and not a deception, and it does so without talking down to you. The hall reads completely differently after that.
Still learnt something

I teach this exact period to Year 10s and it still gave me something new. The hands on the David are deliberately oversized, symbolic of the fight not yet fought. Twenty years in the classroom and I have never once said that to a class. Properly researched, this.
Dex has a new home. A map of the world, with every tour pinned where it lives.
• New home screen: a world map. Tap a city, see its tours, walk the route from one to the next
• Photo spots: Dex stops you at the best shots and shows you how to frame them
• Pompeii is live. Walk the streets under Vesuvius
• Venue WiFi joins on its own when you start a tour, so downloads skip your data plan
• Bug squashing: finished tours stay put, tour language leaves your app language alone, Ask closes on tap
