Description: The GTCF mobile app offers you the convenience of having a gotocollegefairs.com (GTCF) scanner on your phone! With increased functionality and unique features, this mobile scanning app is the perfect companion for a college representative during a busy recruiting season. Functions/Features: - Can scan information from paper barcodes and mobile devices - Has the ability to connect your student records to the event in which they were scanned (if you cannot find your event on the list provided on the app, you can manually enter event) - Manual entry back up - in the event that you are unable to scan the students barcode, you can manually enter in the barcode number-never miss a student! - Add notes to a student profile - reps have the ability to add any pertinent notes from the conversation to aid in the follow up later (must be done before the next student is scanned) - Quick follow up ranking – one touch ranking of each student so the most important prospects are noted (rank options – hot, med and cold). This also must be done before the next student is scanned - Real time count of total scans and total uploaded - Upload the scans directly from your device Note: The device running the application must have internet access in order to launch the application and upload leads. You don’t need internet access to collect scans! Compatibility: * Minimum phone requirements – iPhone iOS 10 and up.

The app was very simple to setup and use. I really like being able to go back and edit my leads with additional information and how easy it was to find the specific fair I was at to start scanning. We were able to use the feature to quickly scan leads when we were busy and change it easily to be able to slow scan and add specific notes and the type of lead which was super useful.

Horrible Update and App

This app was fine last year. I’m not sure where these 5-star reviews are coming from because every time I’ve tried to use this app it has crashed, won’t let me login, or the absolute worst thing, does not recognize scans. Several fairs I have been to, this app has skipped hours of scans, does not show the student was ever scanned (not in the uploaded or not uploaded category, just gone). As a college representative, I am very upset with the update for this app. We pay a lot of money to make sure that we can get leads during college fairs so that we can make connections with students and this app doesn’t even work. They removed the feature for rapid scan, so if you’re at a fair where there are tons of students, you’re out of luck because you scan it, have to wait until it tells you it actually went through (or you’ll lose the lead all together), and then scan the next student. I loved this app last year during recruiting season, but this year is an absolute mess. I’ve resorted to taking pictures of their barcodes and manually putting them in at the end of the fair. I hope this company works it out, but right now, I am very upset with every entire thing about this app.

As you can see, your experience is not the norm. We want to support you immediately and hope you do indeed reach out to us! However, we can certainly respond to your desire to scan students in rapid succession - a common use case. This version does, in fact, include that feature - we know how valuable it is! You can access the rapid scan feature by turning off (unchecking) the 'Scan and Qualify' feature. This will bypass the screen which allows you to make notes on a student if/when you don't have the time or desire to do so. We look forward to your updated review when we get your device sorted out. This app was fine last year. Institution Confirmation - Exhibiting colleges and universities will be prompted to confirm their institution selection when logging into the app. Leads Upload - Now available from the home screen.
