I’m pretty new to the nutrition area and how to diet. That’s why I downloaded this app in the first place. I’ve seen reviews complaining about 40$, but it’s for the whole year not a month 😂😂 which is basically like 3 bucks a month if you do the math. Nowadays it’s getting hard to get some ACTUAL healthy food. I used to fall for simple marketing tricks and designs that made things look healthy at a glance. This app helped me tremendously in navigating what is real food and what’s just processed junk. Bottom line is that this app really helps you see pesticide risks, microplastics risks, and seed oils in food you may be eating on a regular basis. For me, someone who prioritizes what they put IN their body, is say 40$ is cheap for the year. But hey, take this review how you want.
Developer Response
Thank you for your review. We're so glad you find the app useful! Yes, we totally understand people not wanting to pay, but our data is expensive and there is so much of it, so it would be impossible to offer this for free as much as we'd love to!
Simple app

It is very simple to use and very beneficial. I feel like there should be a search bar so we can type something in and search for an item also.
Developer Response
Thanks for your review! If you tap the scan button, you should then see a search bar at the bottom of the screen. Hope this helps.

I gave this app 1 star because before I could even answer the questions it was asking for a rating. Then I wasn’t even able to try the app out because it requires you to pay for a subscription beforehand this is very misleading. App Developers should register the app as a paid service app so you know there’s a cost upfront before you download the app. This is a manipulative approach to get people to use this app. Don’t advertise as trying to help consumers getting tricked by the powers that be with false advertising by “dangling” promoting useful educated information disguised as providing solutions to problems then deceitfully charge the consumer you claim to be wanting help under false pretense charging for a service that should be free. Information is free. You should NOT be gatekeeping knowledge and charging a fee for access. You are apart of the problem not the solution. #DoBetterBeBetter
Developer Response
Unfortunately our data is too expensive to be able to offer the app for free as we have the most amount of data of any food scanner app on the market. We offer the free trial so that users can be 100% sure before they purchase.
False product
James89?/&19,!2&2
An app that is supposed to tell us what’s healthy and what’s processed, doesn’t need to know my personal goals. It doesn’t need to know what my gender is. It doesn’t need to track my health habits, it doesn’t need to know why I wanna eat healthy. It just needs to scan the ingredients, tell me what’s processed, and what/where the ingredients are from. It gathers all this useless information so it can turn around and sell me a subscription for an app that doesn’t do what’s proclaimed.
Developer Response
Hi James, we're sorry you're not happy with the experience of the app. We're sure that if you give our trial a go, you'll be very happy with the app. If there is anything else we can help you with, please don't hesitate to email us at support@ivyfoodapp.com.
Minor bug fixes and improvements - thanks to your feedback!
