The short version: Bought this from an Instagram ad with very low expectations but it has turned out to be an absolute game changer for me in creating a healthier schedule. This app/device has finally made it possible for me to create a consistent morning routine, which then positively effects my entire day. I’m truly thrilled. The long version: I’m naturally a night owl so getting up in the mornings has always been a huge struggle even though I always had a whole list of things I wanted to do before work (exercise, journal, etc). I would try a million different things but nothing would make a difference (sunrise alarm, bedroom lights on a timer, radio alarm, etc). I would always end up either turning them off before even being actually awake, or I would sleep through them. This resulted in my whole day starting off rushed and tired (because I had been pressing snooze for an hour or more), even though I’m not a lazy person by nature. This little device has changed all that! I still am crazy tired as I stumble out of bed but I’m able to actually get going at the same time each day which has also improved the quality of my sleep and helped me be tired at the right time at night. That was a lot of words to say, this app is absolutely worth it and you should get it. You’ll be surprised what an insane difference it makes to be able to actually wake up properly in the mornings. I just started nursing school and knew my current habits were not going to cut it anymore when it comes to waking up in the morning. I always will cut my alarm off and go back to sleep, or set 10+ alarms and only get up after the very last one, and then I have to scramble to get out of the house on time. With Unbed, I set the alarm, -you have to tap the block after you set the alarm every night btw!- then I leave the block on my fridge downstairs. When the alarm goes off it is LOUD and DOES NOT stop until you physically tap the block. I love the feature that you can silence it for up to 20 seconds, out of consideration to my family members who are sleeping when I’m getting up! Once I’m downstairs I just start making my coffee and start my day! No use in going back to sleep! This is the first thing to actually forces me out of bed and works consistently. Thank you so much! Seriously life changing for me.

I have tried to many apps and even tried an alarm that vibrates my bed with a ridiculously loud alarm. None of it worked so I thought might as well try this too. Since using it, I have no overslept once. I’ve gotten straight out of bed everytime. My 10+ alarms (not even exaggerating) has turned into 2. One being the Unbed and the 2nd one on my phone as a back up that I really don’t need but i’m a worrier so that’s why lol. I’ve never needed the second alarm btw. The ONLY issue i’ve had is that when the alarm is set, which I do while getting ready for bed, is that once it’s set to on the volume on your phone automatically stays at what you have it programmed for the alarm. Your phone does not let you turn down the volume then turn it back up. So a lot of times, when i’m laying in bed relaxing trying to fall asleep, I have to turn the alarm off to be able to turn my phone volume down if I watch a video or something or else it’s soo loud. So then I gotta remember to not forget to turn the alarm back on. I have literally no idea how they could possibly figure out a way around it because I understand the reason but I guess it’s just more of an annoyance than anything. Not enough to make me stop using the alarm though.

I have tried so many ways to wake up. I have 20 alarms on both my Alexa and my phone. I have tried the alarm that makes you do math and solve puzzles and type into your phone…. nothing and I mean NOTHING has worked like this has. I have used it for a little over week and the impact this has on my life is incredible. Now I hop out of bed with ease. My coffee is waiting for me and I have an entirely new perspective on waking up. The block system is amazing. I literally can’t turn the alarm off until I scan the block in the kitchen and just as an extra precaution I have another alarm set for 5 minutes after, but I haven’t needed it yet. I went from 40 alarms to just 1. Not having to start my day with being 30 minutes late and rushing and panicked is life changing. Thank you Unbed!
