v1.10 is here—and we've been sweating profusely to bring you this one.
One of our biggest updates yet, this version delivers a pair of new features to celebrate workouts and keep tabs on progress, plus major upgrades to workout generation, content and overall user experience. And, just in time for launch, we've optimized GAIN for the new iPhone Duo.
End of Workout Summary (New Feature)
Our new End of Workout experience celebrates each sweat session with an animated stats card showing exercises completed, workout duration and calories burned.
We also added a fun twist at the end with motivational messages to help you finish strong. Sometimes encouraging and sometimes salty—you'll have to try it yourself to see what we mean ;-)
Workout History (New Feature)
All those reps have been adding up. You just haven't had any proof, other than your bulging biceps and curvy quadriceps.
But now, you've got the stats page to prove it.
Workout History brings a full view of completed sessions into a single summary screen, one-tap away from Home Screen. Filter to see your last 14 days or all time stats. You've been putting in the work—it's time to see it on the (digital) whiteboard.
And with our updated Apple Health integration, your GAIN workouts are now published into the Apple Fitness ecosystem. Close those rings!
Smarter Workout Generation (Improvement)
We bolted ourselves into a war room with our expert trainers to make some major improvements to workout generation. We tweaked exercise sequencing and equipment selection for more user-friendly workouts, then refined rest/setup timing based on real-world gym conditions. The result? Better-timed workouts that flow more naturally from one exercise to the next.
Da Da Da DUO (New Device)
We optimized the app for the new iPhone Duo. If you’ve been lucky enough to score one of these new big-screen devices, you’ll be happy to see the GAIN app take advantage of its larger display and new vertical navigation.
We’re pretty excited about the possibilities of this new device, so expect more updates specifically for Duo soon.
Exercise Visuals & Audio (New Content)
We gave our exercise content and audio library another serious workout, adding visuals optimized for newer iPhones and a ton of fresh coaching cues to make your sessions feel more fun, engaging and hands-free.
• 67 new workout navigation audio cues
• 106 new motivational audio cues
• New vertical-optimized exercise demonstrations for a ~quarter of our library
More Improvements & Fixes
• Better rest timing across Strength, Warm Ups, Cool Downs and Recovery
• Improved audio cue timing, playback and synchronization
• Faster Workout History loading
• Exercise Swap, download reliability and UI fixes
• Fixed a recurring Download Disrupted error
We're continuing to push hard on both sides of GAIN—smarter workout generation plus a more seamless, motivating user experience.

v1.7 is here—this one we've been waiting to share for a long time.
Introducing Full-Screen Workout Mode.
We've spent years refining what we believe to be the ideal way to interact with your phone during a workout. A purpose-built workout experience that combines intuitive gestures, full-screen timers and exercise animations, rep counters and hands-free audio into a single, seamless interface.
Swipe between exercises. Pause, skip or restart a set with a single gesture. Then put your phone away and let GAIN's audio guide you through the rest.
Whether you prefer a fully guided experience or simply checking off exercises from a list, GAIN now supports both styles of training.

1.7.0 Jul 28
Hotfix build. No, not talking about a new hot body hack...
We fixed 2 issues:

- intermittent cool down generation bug.
Thanks for your patience as we continue making GAIN stronger and more reliable.
1.6.1 Jul 9

First, we redesigned authentication, bringing Sign In with Apple alongside a streamlined email sign-up/login experience. Getting started with GAIN is now faster, easier and more secure than ever.

• Refined copy and messaging throughout the experience
We're continuing to build in beast mode, refine relentlessly and shape GAIN into the most personalized workout experience out there.
1.6.0 Jul 7
v1.5 is here—and this is a big one.
This release introduces two major upgrades that represent a major step forward for the GAIN experience: Body Heatmaps and a fully rebuilt Workout Mode audio engine.
Body Heatmaps
Every workout now includes a dynamic muscle map showing exactly which muscles are being targeted and how intensely they’re being worked. Yellow means lightly activated, orange is moderate, red is heavily targeted.
As you regenerate workouts, you’ll immediately see the changes reflected visually in the heatmap—fusing together exercise science, data and design into perhaps our most distinguished feature to date.
Workout Mode Overhaul
We rebuilt the workout audio and timing engine from the ground up to create a smoother, more immersive workout flow.
GAIN now works more seamlessly alongside Apple Music, Spotify and other music apps with improved audio ducking, more reliable playback and tighter timer/audio sync. We also refreshed workout cues and improved transitions between sets, rests and countdowns.
The result is a workout experience that feels more fluid, responsive and coach-like from start to finish. We’ll continue extending from here until it feels more and more like a coach in your ear.
Additional improvements:
• Improved end-of-exercise and end-of-workout UX and visuals
• Better handling of Warm Up and Cool Down visibility
• Login and keyboard behavior refinements
• Reliability fixes and broad audio stability improvements
We’re excited for you to experience these changes as the app’s physique keeps getting better and better. Hopefully, it can help do the same for yours.
As always, we’re continuing to build quickly, refine aggressively and shape GAIN into the most personalized workout app experience out there.
1.5.0 May 29
Big Update: v1.4 We just launched Daily Coaching.
It’s like having a coach by your side—giving you smart motivational nudges, workout guidance and deeper insight into why your workout was built specifically for you that day. You’ll receive one new message daily.
Every message is personalized to:
• your goals
• your training history
• your workout consistency
• today's workout’s exercises, protocols and structure
With Daily Coaching, we’re aiming to fill your brain as much as we fill your biceps—bringing more visibility and transparency into the thinking behind GAIN’s training engine.

Audio Cue Refresh
Workout audio now includes new rotating cues for common commands (“3-2-1 Go,” “left side,” “right side,” etc.) to make workouts feel more natural and less repetitive.
And the voice guiding your workout? A retired U.S. Army squad leader who spent years training soldiers to perform under pressure. Real human. Real coach. Real hero.
Login + Reliability Improvements
We smoothed out login and keyboard behavior, improved workout progress syncing and fixed a number of edge-case issues across the app.
As always, we’re continuing to refine the experience and shape GAIN into the most personal training app possible.

Recovery Sessions and Cool Downs are here!
We worked with fitness experts to structure targeted recovery sessions between your strength days. Combining myofascial release, mobility and flexibility work in a smart, muscle-aligned way, GAIN now gives you the right thing to do every single day.
Cool Downs can now be included in your strength sessions. These optional (but recommended) post-workout phases target the muscles you just trained—helping reduce stiffness, improve recovery and get you ready for the next session, stat.
We also improved how your plan flows day-to-day.
Tomorrow’s Workout

Some additional enhancements and fixes:
• Workout Durations — now update dynamically when warm-ups and cool downs are added
