as someone who is super phone-addicted but also obsessed with productivity hacks, I have tried everything under the sun (including brick device and lockbox with timer, lol). but my monkey brain always finds ways to bypass each barrier, and those workarounds quickly become muscle memory. so far this app stands out for a few reasons: 1) it doesn’t allow blanket break times - each blocked app needs to be unlocked individually. this is usually annoying enough to dissuade me from trying, which stops the ~drift~ into other forms of time-wasting. 2) unlock screen reminds you of all the different reasons you actually DONT want/need your phone, which often humbles me into putting it back down. 3) tying unlocks to a daily meditation is actually genius, and may be the first thing to actually keep me building a consistent habit. I will say the design/UI are pretty basic - doesn’t feel as polished as other similar apps I’ve used. but 10 STARS for the functionality and underlying idea. I honestly think society could be healed by installing it on every phone. THANK YOU to whoever dreamed this up!!

I’m a student and my screen time is one of my greatest weaknesses, this app has helped me reduce some of the anxiety I have around my screen time. I especially love the guided meditations as someone who’s heard of the wonders of meditation, I’m glad this app finally got me started. This app actually fixes what all of the other ones promise. Brick, dumb-phones, Opal, they just prevent you from living your addiction out. They dont stop the addiction at its root, and improve your life. This does. Phenomenal design and extremely cheap compared to the value youre getting. So excited to see this thing grow
