Updating my previous review. They have worked hard to fix a lot of the things that were really holding it back. It still needs work with translating complex patterns into smart patterns but it’s better than it was. It has all the features I want except a way to mark your spot when you’re using the pdf viewer. Other than that it’s the best app available right now. The developers are constantly releasing updates so I am confident this will be the best app available for a long time. Great work! Old review: This app has so much potential. It’s an amazing idea and really does combine all of the best features. The problem is they don’t work very well. The smart patterns don’t translate more complex patterns very well. And the app it’s self has a very long lag time and is not responsive. It feels clunky compared to other apps. I am still planning to keep my subscription because I think the app is improving and with time they will be able to make it work.

I absolutely love this app. As someone with a ridiculous number of crochet patterns and projects going at any given time, Loopsy has been a game changer for me.The ability to upload, organize, and tag all of my patterns in one place is incredible. I no longer have to dig through folders or emails trying to find something. The smart pattern creator is also fantastic because it helps me keep track of exactly where I am in a project.What really surprised me is how well it works for managing actual projects and orders. I can track pieces I need to complete, set due dates, and stay organized without juggling multiple apps or notes.Work Mode might be my favorite feature. I’ve finally been able to easily time how long my projects take, which helps me understand the real time investment behind the pieces I sell. While I’m in Work Mode I can also pull up the PDF of the pattern and even annotate on it if I need to, which makes working through a pattern so much easier.The yarn stash feature is also super convenient. Being able to scan barcodes to add yarn makes it ridiculously easy to track what I have, especially for larger brands.Overall, it’s an incredibly useful tool for makers. I’m excited to see where the app goes from here because it’s already such a great tool.

Since I wasn’t able to cancel the free trial with this on time. I am unfortunately stuck with a poor running service. I’m disappointed. This app like many others have already stated, THIS HAS POTENTIAL to be a great app for crocheting and knitting. But it’s so laggy and unresponsive. Even with the iOS required update. This app still doesn’t run to the potential I think it should when I literally am stuck with this now for a year! It takes so long to get into work mode for a pattern and even when you do, you can’t actually time yourself because the clock makes the app run so bad that you can hardly scroll, let alone add a count to your counter. I really wanted to fall in love with this app and it be the ultimate app for my crochet projects. But unfortunately it’s fallen extremely short. I do love the notes and progress features, as well as the stash pile feature so you know what you have in front of your face instead of digging through skeins. So please developers, if you’re going to charge people for this app. Make it a luxurious experience it was truly meant to be. Thank you for reading this rant. :)

I love the fact that when you enter your patterns and your stash, the information cross references. Meaning, when you look at your stash items it tells you which patterns work with that yarn. No more flipping through all your patterns to see which yarn you can use. Creating the “smart” pattern is a huge plus, because if it’s a pattern where you have numbers in parentheses, that change depending upon size, it eliminates the numbers you don’t need after you enter which size you are working on. Huge plus. But I did notice on one pattern (I’m working on it now) that had the row numbers in the left column on paper, it made a mistake. Each row said row 1, row 2 or rows 3-35 (example) or next row, these carried over fine. But one “row” said “Next 2 rows” and the smart pattern missed that and only showed it as one row. Just make sure you check as you go. Other than that, so far so good!
