HOW IT WORKS
Here’s how a game is created and played:
- Managers select a live sporting event (NFL, NBA, MLB, etc) and customize the game setup.
- On the Create Game screen, managers choose:
• Which parts of the game will determine winners based on the sport — quarters, halves, innings, periods, or final scores
• The token cost per box
• The maximum number of boxes each player can select
- Once the game is configured, managers invite friends to join.
- When the game is live, each box’s coordinates are matched to the last digit of each team’s score at the end of the selected time periods (e.g., Q1, Q2, Halftime, Final).
- Winners are automatically calculated and highlighted as the game progresses.- Managers select a live sporting event (NFL, NBA, MLB, etc) and customize the game setup.
It’s easy to join, quick to set up, and packed with suspense as each score update could change the outcome. Whether you're playing for fun or bragging rights, Box Champs keeps every play exciting.

What's new in Box Champs 2.16.0
- Change your phone number from your profile, confirmed with a verification code.
- Invite links now open the app if you have it, and the website if you don't.
- Clearer game settings: every option has its own row, and hosts choose up front what happens to boxes nobody picks.
- When the reveal gives you the unclaimed boxes, the app now tells you.
- Final Summary shows when the House wins a period, and shows a Final that hasn't settled yet as pending.
- Signing up: Resend sends a new code, and a wrong or expired code shows a clear message.
- Updated text-message consent at signup and when you invite friends.
Fixes
- Going back from Invite and tapping Continue no longer creates a second game.
- Tapping "done" on the keyboard no longer creates the game early.
- Fixed a crash when a co-host saves changes after the board was revealed.
- Fixed the app closing when opening an older game whose sport is no longer offered.
- Accepting an invite while viewing another game no longer says the game was removed.
- Edit Game shows the right title when opened from the invite screen.
- Fixed being signed out when the app briefly couldn't refresh your session.
