Keep your family close without 24/7 tracking. HeyPolo lets you share live location only when it matters, with full consent controls, SOS alerts, & safer driving insights.
HeyPolo is the family safety and location sharing app that helps families stay connected while giving everyone more independence.
See where your family is when you need to, get alerts when they arrive safely, check in on a teen driver, or reach someone when their phone is on silent. HeyPolo gives you reassurance without making the people you love feel constantly monitored.
Everyone controls when and how they share their location.
WORKS ACROSS IPHONE & ANDROID
Got iPhone and Android users in the same family? No problem. HeyPolo works seamlessly across both iOS and Android, connecting everyone in a single family group regardless of which device they use.
KEY FEATURES
Everything your family needs to stay safe and feel connected:
► REAL-TIME LOCATION SHARING
See your family on a live map when they choose to share their location. Each person controls what they share, how precise it is, and for how long.
► ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE ALERTS
Get notified when someone arrives at or leaves places that matter, such as home, school or work. Fewer "Are you there yet?" texts and less checking the app.
► CALL PHONE
Need to reach someone who's not answering? Call members of your group through HeyPolo, even when their phone is on silent or Do Not Disturb. Particularly useful when your teenager isn't picking up.
► DRIVING SPEED MONITORING
Stay connected when your teenager or family member is driving. Speed monitoring gives you reassurance without the need to constantly check their location.
► SOS ALERTS
If someone needs help, one tap can send an SOS alert to their family group.
► DANGEROUS WEATHER ALERTS
Get notified when someone in your family group may be experiencing dangerous weather conditions, so you can check they're OK.
► LOW BATTERY ALERTS
Know when a family member's phone battery is running low, so unexpected silence doesn't automatically mean something is wrong.
► COMPASS
See the direction of loved ones nearby - useful for meeting up at busy events, parks or unfamiliar places.

Our family used LIFE360 out of necessity but then sadly discovered their horrible record regarding privacy. We trialed HeyPolo and found the following: Locations are unlimited and you can set multiple location alerts for per person. This is HUGE! To get that on Life360, you have to pay $150 annually, while lower tier options get you alerts for two locations total, which doesn’t cut it for a family. So that’s a win for HeyPolo! In HeyPolo, the blue location indicator on iPhones stays lit for a good amount of time. Young family members found this concerning and too invasive. They know their location is being used all the time but they don’t want to be reminded of it so much. The location indicator stayed on so much that it became meaningless to them as they could not tell if something else nefarious was tracking them. The deal breaker issue with HeyPolo is that each member has to open it every day (?) or so (?) to remain active. Even with the two recommended location settings turned on, those family members that did not open the app would just stall and never show an updated location. Not useful for us at all! The whole idea is to know family member locations without them having to check in or remember to open an app. So that’s a huge issue for us. The good news is that HeyPolo, does NOT waste space and effort providing silly unnecessary comments you can send each other. They don’t have ads. They do not report on driving info (nor sell it presumably). They don’t deem a drive as safe or unsafe. (That also means they don’t erroneously detect a passenger’s phone use as a dangerous drive like Life360 regularly does.) HeyPolo claims that they don’t sell your data. The developers are responsive and rolling out fixes. I am hopeful about HeyPolo but just need improvements to make it more useful for families.
Developer Response
Hi there, thanks for sharing your feedback! We'd like to clarify a few points you've made. HeyPolo supports more than 4 place alerts person. Instead of showing battery level, the app sends low battery alerts that inform other people when the battery level drops to around 20%. As for the blue location indicator - we're working on reducing when it is shown. We would gladly investigate the issues you had with location tracking while the app was working in the background and hear your thoughts on how to improve HeyPolo in general. Could you contact us directly at max@heypolo.com? We would really appreciate that.
Please add exceptions like on android!
