Did you know that when updating TrueNAS apps, old container images remain on disk and can eventually consume tens of gigabytes of storage? In this release, we’ve added the ability to remove unused images in just two taps. There’s also a new screen that displays all container images on your system, allowing you to view their details and selectively remove the ones you no longer need.
Added the ability to delete apps directly from the Apps screen.
Added context menus to the Connections, Apps, and Services screens. Simply press and hold an item to access additional actions available for it.
On the Connections screen:
• Added NAS availability indicators directly on connection cards (can be enabled or disabled in connection settings).
• Added Restart and Shut Down actions to the connection context menu. You no longer need to connect to the server to perform these actions.
• Added Wake-on-LAN (WoL) support. To use this feature, specify the network adapter MAC address in the connection settings. If the connection uses an IP address, an "Enable (WOL)" action will appear in the connection context menu.
Wake-on-LAN also requires NAS-side configuration, including enabling the feature in BIOS and running the "ethtool wol g" command.
