Improvements to the grocery list

A grocery list Tap Add to list on any recipe and review its ingredients before they go on: pantry staples like salt and oil start unticked, and ingredients still to buy from another recipe are combined, so two recipes' eggs become one line. Amounts follow the servings you picked. Shop by aisle The list sorts itself into aisles in the order most stores are walked. Tick items off and they drop into the cart at the bottom. Type anything else you need, like paper towels, straight onto the list. Move an item to another aisle once and the app remembers. Works with no signal The list opens and ticks off with no connection, and catches up when you are back online. Send it anywhere Send shares the list as text to OurGroceries, AnyList, Reminders, Messages or anywhere else, or copies it to paste. Groceries now has its own tab. Collections is still a tab inside Recipes, and Recipes reopens the tab you used last. A split that can't get lost Splitting a recipe between cooks can take a little while. Now, if you switch to another app, lose your connection, or the app restarts mid-split, the split keeps running on our end. Come back and your plan is right where you left it - or, if it finished while you were away, a "Your split is ready" card is waiting for you on Home. Edits keep everything else Editing a recipe now keeps its tags, rating, cook history, saved splits, step timers and Shared status. Before this update, saving an edit could clear them - sorry about that. Stay signed in offline Opening recipe.sync without a connection no longer signs you out, and your recipes load on their own once you're back online. Weather, only if you want it Local weather now lives under Profile > Preferences as an opt-in. Turn it on and your Home suggestions become weather-aware; leave it off and nothing changes. Either way, recipe.sync no longer asks for your location the moment you open the app - you decide, from Preferences, when to turn it on. Also in this release - Recipe list icons now match the ones on the recipe detail screen. - The Recent Recipes header no longer shows up empty for a new account. Found a bug or have an idea? Cook Together is here. Pick a recipe, split it between the cooks in your kitchen, and tap Invite. Everyone gets a link, opens their own lane on their own phone, and ticks off steps as they go. Timers, hand-offs and progress stay in sync across every phone in the room. Guests don't need an account. A clearer Home Kitchen Alchemy, which turns a few ingredients or a craving into a full recipe, now has its own tile right on the Home screen, next to a new Add Recipe button. Less scrolling, more cooking. A tidier Recipes screen Collections now live on a tab inside Recipes, alongside My Recipes and the new Kitchen Log, your history of what you've cooked, imported and shared. Two new smart collections: Saved Splits and Shared. Also in this release • Sharing a recipe now keeps it marked as shared, so your Shared collection finally fills up. • Crisper text everywhere: the app's fonts are now built in rather than fetched. • Smarter recipe splits: rests, proofs and unattended cooking are assigned as real steps instead of idle waiting.
