Normi: Planner, Quiz, Notes
Ask your files. Set reminders
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Your planner, your notes, and an AI that has actually read them.
Normi plans your day, sets your reminders, and answers questions about your own documents with the source attached. Upload something
once and the same material becomes your morning brief, your reminders and your quiz.
WAKE UP TO A PLAN
Today's Snapshot reads the notes, files and reminders you already have and writes you one short brief each morning: what is due, what
you said you would do, and the one thing worth starting with. Miss a few days and Normi rebuilds the plan rather than handing you a pile
of guilt. Set a goal and you get real progress against it, plus a streak for the days you showed up.
REMINDERS, BOTH WAYS
Tell Normi your week in one message and get back a set of reminders to confirm. Or add them yourself. Everything lands on the same day
view, including the ones that repeat, and anything you miss is gathered in one place instead of piling up across the app.
ANSWERS FROM YOUR OWN FILES, WITH RECEIPTS
Drop in a lease, a syllabus, research papers or meeting notes and ask anything. "Can I break my lease early? Show me where." Normi
answers from your content and shows the exact clause the answer came from, so you are never taking an AI's word for it. Works with PDF,
Word, PowerPoint, Excel, images and photos of handwritten notes.
QUIZ YOURSELF ON WHAT YOU UPLOADED
Turn any document or project into a quiz and find out what you actually know. Every answer shows the page it came from.
NOTES THAT DO SOMETHING
Headings, checklists and images. Send a screenshot of a recipe or a receipt and Normi saves it as a list you can tick off. Talk instead
of typing and Normi clears out the filler, writes it up properly, and sets any reminders you mentioned. Stuck on a concept in your own
notes? Ask Normi to explain it right there.
ASK WITHOUT THE AUDIENCE
Share a project with friends, a team or a group so everyone works from the same files, and message them without leaving the app. When
someone says something you do not follow, ask Normi about that message privately. The group never sees the question.
Your week has a plan. Your files have the answers. Normi handles both.
Free to start. Optional subscriptions unlock the AI features.

REMINDERS
- A Day line and a Week grid

1.7.9 Oct 10
This update includes behind-the-scenes fixes and improvements to how Normi handles your privacy choices.
1.7.8 Oct 9
Normi has a fresh new look.
• A clearer Home screen, with a compact Today’s Snapshot you can expand for the full picture.
• A redesigned Library for browsing files and projects, with clearer upload progress and retry options.
• Cleaner Notes, with pinned notes, clearer filters and easier access to recently deleted work.
• Refreshed chats, with clearer note, reminder and quiz cards, plus better recovery when your connection drops.
• A redesigned profile for your goals, streaks and quiz progress, with a separate Memory tab to review what Normi remembers.
We’ve also fixed issues with saving notes, file uploads and chat replies.
1.7.7 Oct 5
A fresh look for your week, and new ways to study and create.
• See your week your way. Reminders now brings List, Day and Week views together. Add colour, set up to two alerts, and choose which days a reminder repeats.
• Start revising from what you have. Create quizzes from your files, notes, pasted text or a topic. Upload a document or snap a photo straight from the quiz screen.
• Bring an idea to life. Ask Normi to create or edit an image in chat, then save it to your photos.
• Work with more file types. Use Word documents, PowerPoint presentations and Excel spreadsheets in chat, your Library and quizzes.
We've also fixed issues with quiz uploads, saved scores and editing all-day reminders.
1.7.5 Oct 4
Your first step, sized to where you are.
• Normi's first message after you sign up now takes in where you are with your goal right now and
how sure you are that you'll keep it up, so what it suggests fits where you're starting from.
• Clearer updates while Normi works. It now tells you what it's really doing, like drafting a
reminder for you to confirm.
• Small fixes and improvements.
1.7.4 Sep 30
Ask for a quiz. Put your phone down.
- Ask Normi to quiz you and it starts writing your questions straight away, no extra tap. Keep
chatting or leave the app, and Normi lets you know when your quiz is ready
- A quiz Normi offers stays with the reply it came in, even when you keep chatting
- Told Normi your goal but would rather not see those exact words every day? Ask it to stop showing
them. Home, your Snapshot and your profile switch to a gentler name, like "your study goal", and
Normi still knows what you're working toward
- Signed in with Apple or Google for the first time? Normi shows which account you used and walks
you through a quick setup
Plus smaller fixes across sign-in and setup, including the link in your confirmation email.

Your reminders, right on cue.
This one is all about reminders landing exactly when you meant them to.
- Tap a reminder notification and Normi opens straight to that reminder, even from a closed app
- Set one for 12:00 AM and it rings. Midnight is a time you picked, so we treat it as one
- If your phone is set up in a way that would keep a reminder quiet, Normi tells you as you save it, with a one tap fix
- Notification settings has a new Reminder alerts row, so you can see at a glance whether your reminders are On, Quiet or Off
- Ask Normi to set a few things at once and the whole set lands together
Plus a round of smaller fixes across chat and reminders, and a cleaner look for the message you see when you lose signal.

1.7.0 Sep 21
Getting started with Normi now feels more personal. Tell Normi what you’re working toward, choose one small first step, and pick when you’d like a reminder. Normi will check in to help you keep moving.
We’ve also made the first conversation smoother and fixed an issue that could duplicate your first reminder if you retried saving it.
1.6.9 Sep 19
We fixed a few spots where a quick double tap could do something twice, and made sure messages show up where you can actually see them. Everything should feel a little more reliable now.
Enjoying Normi? A quick rating really helps us out.

1.6.6 Sep 12
Setting up Normi now ends with a week, not a blank screen.
New accounts start with a short conversation instead of a form: what you are working toward, which days you can give it, and what usually gets in the way. Normi turns that into a real week, with things at real times and the alarms already set, and shows it to you before anything is saved. You can add the rest in one message, typed or spoken, and it gets folded in. Then it asks whether the week looks manageable, and trims it if you say it is too much.
Also in this release:
- A step you accept from Today's Snapshot after its time has passed now moves to tomorrow. It used to be saved for earlier the same day, which meant it never went off
- Accepting the same step twice no longer sets a second reminder for it
- The confirmation now names the time the reminder actually went to, instead of the time that was offered
- Today's Snapshot no longer shows you a question for a moment before your real brief loads
1.6.5 Sep 11
Your goal now gets a step, not a summary.
Today's Snapshot used to tell you what it thought your priority was. Now it asks you one short question about the goal you set, and offers one small step you can turn into a reminder with a single tap. Your progress comes from what you actually answer instead of a guess, and when something looks finished Normi asks whether the goal is done rather than deciding that for you.
It also turns up on your first day now, instead of waiting until the app has warmed up.
Also in this release:
- Sending Normi a photo works properly again. A larger picture used to make it apologise for not finishing, even when it had already saved the thing you asked for
- Scrolling up in a new chat no longer spins looking for older messages that were never there, and the list stays where you put it
- Tapping a notification takes you to the thing it is about. A "Normi replied" tap now lands you in the chat itself, instead of laying a second copy on top of the one you were already reading
- Confirming a plan Normi drafted now saves all of it or none of it, so you can no longer end up holding half a plan
- "Quiz me" works without you naming a subject first. Normi offers topics you can tap, and a repeat quiz gets harder or easier depending on how you did last time
1.6.4 Sep 3

Also in this release:
- Confirming a plan Normi drafted now saves all of it or none of it, so you can no longer end up holding half a plan
- Tapping a notification takes you to the thing it is about, instead of stacking another copy on top of what you were reading, or looking like it did nothing at all
- "Quiz me" works without you naming a subject first. Normi offers topics you can tap, and a repeat quiz gets harder or easier depending on how you did last time
1.6.3 Sep 2
Normi can now read scanned paperwork.
Upload a scanned or photographed PDF and Normi pulls the text out even when there's no text to select,
the kind of document an insurer, hospital or solicitor actually sends you. Before this, those PDFs
quietly failed to save. Photos of documents already worked; PDFs now do too.
Also in this release:
- Every account now gets its own small illustrated character instead of a blank grey circle, chosen
just for you and consistent everywhere you show up
- A reminder you create in the evening now defaults to tomorrow morning instead of a silent all-day
entry, so it actually goes off
- Fixed a bug where finishing your first day in Normi could show two "you did it" popups at once
1.6.2 Aug 26
Getting started with Normi is a lot friendlier this time.
MEET NORMI PROPERLY
Normi says hello first now and shows you what it can do, instead of waiting for
you to work it out. What it says is about the goal you set, not a generic welcome.
A CLEARER FIRST DAY
Home no longer opens with two buttons competing for your thumb. There is one
checklist, with Normi at the top of it, and it keeps up as you go.
SETUP THAT ACTUALLY LISTENS
Normi remembers what you told it while you were setting up, so your goal shows up
in what it says from the first screen onwards. Choosing a goal with no deadline is
properly explained now, too.
A FACE FOR YOUR PROFILE
New accounts get an illustrated Normi character instead of a grey circle. Add your
own photo whenever you like and it takes over.
PLANS YOU CAN ACTUALLY COMPARE
The plans screen is rebuilt. The trial length and the price sit where you can see
them before you decide, not after.
ALSO IN THIS UPDATE
Today's Snapshot picks better things to show you.
Fixed the photo picker on Android.
Smoother animation on the first setup screen.
If you switch on the trial reminder, it now arrives with time to spare instead of
at the last minute.
If Normi is useful to you, a rating really does help us out.
1.6.1 Aug 23
Missed something? Now you can just let it go.
Any missed item on your home screen can be swiped away to skip it, with a moment to undo if that was not what you meant. Nothing is deleted and nothing rolls forward, so the pile stops growing on its own. Anything you missed more than two weeks ago now folds out of the way instead of sitting above today, and it is still one tap away when you want it.
Today's Snapshot has stopped repeating itself, too. It now notices when it has pushed the same note or goal at you across several days, even if it skipped one in the middle, and it either shrinks the ask right down or offers to help you break the thing up. It will also stop calling something your top priority when Normi is the one who wrote it rather than you.
1.6.0 Aug 20
Today's Snapshot now works on the free plan.
The short read of your day on your home screen was quietly refusing to generate for anyone who was not subscribed, so most people never
got to see it at all. It works now, and your free allowance for talking to Normi is nearly four times bigger, so you get a proper run at
it before you decide anything.
Also in this release:
- The Snapshot no longer appears at launch and then blanks out a second later
- You can attach files up to 50 MB when you chat with Normi, up from 20 MB
- If a file is too large, Normi names the file, its size and the actual limit, instead of failing part way through the upload
- Fixed a crash on your profile picture after switching accounts
1.5.9 Aug 19
Fell behind? Now it takes one tap to get back.
When Normi has planned things for you and you have missed them, they no longer sit
on your home screen as a list of failures. They collapse into a single line, and
tapping it hands the whole pile back to Normi to replan around the days you
actually have left.
Also in this release:
- Resetting your password works properly again, including straight from the link in
the email
- Password reset, sign in and invite emails have been rebuilt so they look like
they came from us
- An evening nudge if something you planned for today is still open, instead of
only once you already have a streak going
- Fewer repeat sign up reminders in your first couple of weeks once you are already
using the app
- Fixed the dates Normi used when rebuilding a plan, so nothing lands in the wrong
week
1.5.8 Aug 14
Quizzes now finish without you.
Ask Normi for a quiz and you no longer have to sit and watch it build.
Leave the chat, switch apps, lock your phone. Normi keeps writing the
questions and lets you know when they are ready.
The Daily Brief is free for everyone.
Your short read on what is coming up today is no longer behind a
subscription.
Edit a message you already sent.
Changed your mind halfway through a question? Edit it, and Normi answers
the version you actually meant.
Also in this update:
• Attach a photo and Normi reads it, instead of saying it cannot see images
• Quizzes appear in your library while they are still being written
• Steadier quiz creation from a chat
1.5.6 Aug 9
Normi is now on the web! Sign in at app.normiapp.com and pick up right where you left off on any computer. Subscriptions started on the web unlock in the app automatically.
Also in this update:
• Fresh chat suggestions, picked from things you haven't tried Normi on yet
• More reliable reminder alarms
• Smoother scrolling and better layouts on larger screens
• A warmer welcome back when you've been away
• Security upgrades and bug fixes
1.5.5 Aug 5
Missed things no longer pile up.
If you fall behind, Normi stops stacking every missed item on your home screen. You see the few that actually need you, and anything Normi planned for you now collapses into a single line you can tap to rebuild the plan around the rest of your week. Falling behind should not feel like a wall of failure.
Also in this release:
- Move everything overdue to today in one tap
- Longer previews in Normi's reply notifications, so you can read the answer without opening the app
- Replies arrive faster once you have left the chat, and no longer leave a stray unread badge behind
- Source citations open your document on the right page instead of jumping back to page 1
- Normi waits until the day after an event to ask how it went, instead of asking while it is still
happening
- Fixed home counts that did not update when you ticked something off inside a note
1.5.3 Aug 1
A smoother way around Normi, and no more repeat pitches once you've subscribed.
