Math Zen is now made for iPad. The problem sits large on the page with your answer keypad docked beneath it, and in landscape the problem and your work lie side by side like an open textbook. Text, keys and charts are all sized for the bigger screen. Bayes' theorem problems now give the exact answer.

Fraction answers are now checked exactly, so a near miss like 7/61 for 7/60 no longer counts, and a minus sign typed on your keyboard is always accepted. Limits of sums now show their parentheses: lim (3x + 1) instead of lim 3x + 1.

Suneung Math gets 12 original exam-style problem types covering the Math I and II common section. Long answer choices now wrap at full size instead of shrinking, and problem texts were polished in every language.

Problems are easier to read: formulas no longer break across lines, spacing is cleaner, and dozens of problem texts were corrected in every language.

Sign in with Apple now keeps one account across all your devices: your subscription and progress follow you wherever you practise. Also fixed: a system of equations was displayed on one line instead of one equation per row.

Fixed cases where correct answers involving powers, fractions and complex numbers were marked wrong. Improved formula layout and clarified problem wording in several languages. Error-estimation questions now show the integral and required accuracy.

When the next lesson opens, a card names it and starts it in one tap; premium lessons are labeled as such. The first time you complete all five levels of a lesson, a short summary offers what comes next or lets you keep practicing. Achievements now appear as a quiet card after your answer, several at once when they come together, and exam-prep badges count only exam-prep practice. Skill decay after days away now applies on every launch.

Getting started is easier: jump straight into your first problem from Home. Complex-number division now includes a step-by-step worked example. Your mastery progress stays in the correct order when lessons gain new problem types, including across synced devices. We also corrected several formulas and labels, and fixed problem prompts that could be clipped below piecewise functions.

Math problems now fit compact screens more cleanly. We improved line wrapping so formulas, fractions, roots, and grouped expressions stay together instead of breaking in awkward places.

A scratchpad, on the problem screen. Tap the pencil and a working area opens under the problem. Do the arithmetic where you can still see the question. On expression problems it lends you the same keypad you answer with, and it wipes itself when the next problem loads. Also fixed from your reports: change-of-base questions printed as raw source, and a cubic that rejected its own second root.

Math Zen now speaks Swedish and Dutch: 11 languages in total. Two new exam paths to match: Högskoleprovet (the Swedish university admission test, quantitative part) and VWO Wiskunde (the Dutch pre-university maths exam). Also fixed formula rendering in a handful of problems, including z-test decisions and sin(ax)/ax limits.

The value was right, the notation was not: a polar-area problem could write its answer as "502π" when it meant 50 · 2π. Fixed. Dark mode no longer flashes light card backgrounds on a cold launch. Plus monetization adjustments in some regions.

The working, not just the answer. Every tangent line problem had a broken solution. The last step restated itself: the tangent to f(x) = 2x² + 4x + 3 at x = -1 was worked as "y = 0(x - -1) + 1 = y=1". The answer was right the whole time, the reasoning printed underneath it was not. A negative point no longer prints as a double minus either, and a term of zero no longer prints at all. Factoring with a leading coefficient could hand back an answer that still had a factor left in it. "3x² + 12x + 9" came back as "(3x+3)(x+3)" instead of "3(x+1)(x+3)", on the exercise whose whole point is pulling the common factor out. And a logarithm problem on the product property could set the same term twice, "log₄(8) + log₄(8)", which reads as a typo rather than a property worth using. All three came from reports sent from inside the app. They get read. Keep sending them.

Theory that answers the problem in front of you. The last release put the Theory one tap from a wrong answer. This one makes sure what you find there is the right rule, properly explained. We checked all 156 subtopics against the problems they actually generate and filled the gaps: the difference of cubes behind a 0/0 limit, working back to the price before tax, reference angles and quadrant signs on the unit circle, convergence tests beyond the geometric series. That is 39 new cards. Another 62 had an explanation that only restated, in smaller type, the formula printed above it. Each of those now says what the formula cannot, such as why a rare cause makes even an accurate test mostly false positives. Also fixed: a correct answer written a different way could be marked wrong. Swapping the order of the two terms in a product rule answer, or leaving out a multiplication dot, was enough to be rejected, and the product rule and integration by parts were the worst affected. An answer that was already fully expanded could also be told to expand further. And 16 integral problem types that had been written but never reached practice are now in rotation, and math is rendered entirely on device, so problems appear instantly and offline.

The explanations were always in the app. Now they are easy to find. Open the Theory for a subtopic straight from the topic list, without starting a session. Get one wrong, or skip it, and Show the rule is right there in the feedback. Also fixed: on some devices a question could appear blank instead of showing the problem.

Dark mode is here, and it looks stunning. Math Zen now follows your system setting, or pin it to Light or Dark under Appearance. Midnight practice, easy on the eyes. This release is all fixes, and they came from your in-app reports. Your correct answer is now accepted in more forms: factored answers, trig written without parentheses, and an answer you have wrapped in parentheses. Multiple-choice questions no longer offer the same answer twice, and the math reads cleaner: no stray "1x", no double negatives, fractions in lowest terms. Fixed long questions and solutions being cut off on screen. Keep the reports coming. They are what drives releases like this one.
