I’ve used a few training apps trying to get the perfect program for just me. This one is it. The wearable integration has made this my go to. It also makes me do movement I only see pro athletes do and it’s made me a better athlete because of it. Every movement has a video of how to do it so if you’re not sure it shows you. The clocks that are built into the workout help along when I don’t have access to clock or am in the crossfit gym doing my own thing. Highly recommend this for anyone that wants easy to use app that will make you a better athlete.

From the outside this app sounds great and boasts some really cool features but I don't use wearable monitors (yet) so I can't speak on those. My review so far is based on basic use, app exploration, and comparison to the old app. The new app doesn't have the next set of cycles I was really looking forward to starting (I'm aware some still need to be transferred over, so fingers crossed). While using the nutrition programming, some meals do not provide cooking instructions for that meal. It seems to be an issue only with meals that do not have an image. With the shopping list function, I noticed that some ingredients in the meals I selected for the week were not added to the list (spices, broths, etc.) and all the items in the list are not categorized by item type (protein, vegetable, diary, etc). They all just fall under "other". Having to re-establish all my maxes for every lift is a bit of a headache as well, since historical data from the old app profile is not transferred. I believe a search function in the comms chats would be beneficial as well, since soon there'll be hundreds of messages/questions and searching for a topic already discussed would be better than asking a question that's already been asked. I'll be continuing to use the old app until it sunsets but I have great hope for this app. I look forward to changing this rating and review.
Developer Response
This is the kind of review we hoped we'd get... specific enough to act on. So I did, today:• Missing cooking instructions: you were right, and your diagnosis was sharper than you knew: the image-less meals came from one incomplete content batch. We've recovered instructions for 130 of those 135 recipes from the old app's database. They're live now. (Photos are on the list; those never existed.)• Shopping list dropping spices and broths: a real bug, found exactly where you said it'd be. Fixed and shipped as an OTA update, so it'll land on your phone in the next couple of cold launches. Unmeasured items now show as "as needed."• Everything under "Other" ... the categories existed but were never wired up. Done: proteins, produce, dairy, spices, and the rest now sort properly. On maxes and history: honest answer: the old app and this one store training data so differently that there was no clean migration path. It's a Motorola RAZR V3 and a new iPhone Pro Max: both are phones, and that's about where the similarity ends. We hear you that re-entering maxes stings, and we've tried to make it easy to quickly add them (Profile > Maxes).Cycles are being transferred as people ask... so ask. Tell us which cycle you're waiting on (help@soflete.com), and we'll prioritize loading it. Moving existing cycles over is manual entry, with the same blockers as workout history and maxes: I spent two months trying to code up an automated way to ingest this data, and I just couldn't get it to line up cleanly. Comms search is a good call, and it's on the board. We're switching the service that drives the Comms tab this month, and the new one does offer search (along with some other added features). We're a small unit, and we fix sh*t fast... reply-to-a-human fast. Hold us to it, and we'll look forward to that rating change.Ryan, SOFLETE

I have been using this company for years. The programming is always fantastic. Alongside the nutrition recipes and the workouts this team always provides the best bang for the buck. The old app was… something, but this new and improved version is leaps and bounds from where it came. I appreciate the wearable integration and soon-to-be whoop integration. Looking forward to where it’s going as this company is always looking forward better ways to accommodate the tactical athlete. They couldn’t make me smarter but they definitely got me stronger.

Doing a train up for a Special Operations Selection Course, and this app is hitting the nail on the head. I feel like I’m going to train for something I really want, and not just “working out”. The nutrition plan is a bonus. Not to mention the coaches stay in contact via app/email. The price you pay, you get more than the value. There are a lot of good programs like this out there.. and let me tell you, I have spent a lot of money trying them out, but I can’t see myself ever drifting away from the SOFLETE team.
