Rejoin a group ride with one tap. If your phone closes during a group ride, reopening Dirt Ledger now offers a Rejoin button - no more asking the group for the six-digit code while you are out on the trail. Your recording keeps going either way, and if the group has already finished, Dirt Ledger tells you and carries on recording your ride.

Rides start the right way: • If Location Services are off when you start a ride or tap the location button, Dirt Ledger now asks you to turn them on every time. • Rides use Precise Location, so your track is recorded accurately. If it's off, Dirt Ledger asks for it when the ride starts. Under the hood: • Picking a GPX or KML file uses less memory. • A smaller download, with unused files left out of the app.

Know which way to ride: • Arrows along your saved rides and planned routes show the direction of travel. • Where a route goes out and back on the same trail, the two directions are drawn side by side. • Mile numbers and Start and Finish tags on the ride you select. Rides that don't break: • If the app is closed during a ride, opening it again continues the same ride instead of starting a new one. • Rides changed on the website or another device update on the map right away. • Your location marker catches up at once when you come back to the app. New: • Dirt Ledger tells you when a new version is ready in the App Store. Fixes: • Places and photos you hide stay hidden after you close the app. • Routes made in route planners now show as one connected line instead of broken pieces. • A rider who never moved no longer shows a speed. • Tap a folder's name in Saved to open or close it.

Land Info now works anywhere in the United States. Press and hold the map, then tap Land Info: • See if a spot is public land, who manages it and whether it is open to the public. • Property lines, address and acreage in 29 states. • Tribal land is labeled as tribal land.

Fixes and improvements from a full test of the app: • Offline maps now show up in your list and can be deleted on iPhone and iPad. • Places you save show their name on the map. • Imported tracks no longer show wrong times or speeds. • Move rides into your groups from the ride menu. • Starting a ride tells you while it finds your location, and group ride codes always join the right ride. • Exporting GPX/KML and account settings work reliably.

The map now reopens right where you left it. New installs start with a map of the US and Canada. Tap the GPS button or start a ride to jump to your location.

A refreshed Streets map with clearer labels, natural park colors, pale blue water, and softer road colors. Terrain keeps its familiar appearance. Improved ride shutdown so tracking notifications stop when a ride ends, including group rides and saved recordings. Stopping a ride is now instant. More reliable live location sharing with connection retries, the recorded route from the start, and clearer information when a shared location is out of date. People you share with now see the map centered on you and following you as you ride. No more repeated requests to turn on location. If Location is off, Dirt Ledger asks once. The red record button now appears only while a ride is active. Includes community-mapped Windrock-area tracks and map reliability improvements.
